As the school year progressed, (f/n) and her two older brothers were getting ready for their schools Christmas program. Their home was already decked out in Christmas decorations that it looked like a Christmas bomb exploded in it. This was, of course, Tino's most favorite holiday out of the year. As he finished making his kids costumes, Berwald was in charge of giving the kids their baths before they had to leave for the school.
After getting the kids ready, Erland groaned while sitting in the back of the car with Peter who looked excited. "I can't believe I have to participate in this...I really hate singing."
Berwald smirked and looked in the rearview mirror, " I heard you practicing the other day Erland, you sound just fine."
Tino smiled a little more and proceeded to turn up the radio that was playing Christmas music, making it to the high school that was hosting the program. The snow hadn't hit the ground yet, but just by the temperature and the sight of clouds, it was going to happen soon. The three kids rush in and quickly go backstage to get into their other costumes that they had ready while Tino and Berwald walked into the auditorium. They were called over, rather loudly, by Mathias. As soon as they sat down, Tino reached into a bag that had a video camera, pressing record to make sure it worked and testing out the zooming mechanics he smiled and turned it to face the family telling them to say hello while the auditorium house lights were still on.
Slowly the lights dimmed and the program started. As the kids started to sing the many christmas songs, Even the boys did a really cute version of frozen heart from Frozen, the final song was going to be performed. Out walked little (f/n) in a really sparkly red dress that went a little past her knees. Her long (h/c) was curled and done nicely. The other girl who looked like she was the same age as the boys walked out with her hair in a nice bun, wearing a floor-length Navy blue dress. The two were silent until the song "when Christmas comes to town", started to play. (f/n) started to sing first and most of the Nordic family in that row gaped at how beautiful she sounded. Surely Tino and Berwald didn't have the slightest clue that (f/n) could sing like this..because she rarely ever did at home.
Even with the other girl who sang really good, the two combined just made it melt your heart and really feel the Christmas spirit. By the end of it, the kids were able to meet up with their parents. Tino was tearing up and smiling so happily as he hugged (f/n) and gave her kisses all over her cheeks. The five-year-old laughed and hugged him back while giving her additional hugs to her uncles and cousins.
Suddenly the girl from the performance walked up to (f/n) and spoke up to Tino and Berwald who were busy praising (f/n) and the boys as well.
" (f/n), the director wants to get pictures."
"Oh!OH, me too!" started up Tino and Mathias, both pulling their cameras out from thin air.
As some of the parents gathered behind a photographer. They waited until they were okayed to take pictures. The kids squeezed in together and smiled. (f/n) had a cute way of smiling, showing her small and subtle dimples in her smile as she did so. By the end of it, Tino went to go and get (f/n) only to stop suddenly and watch a rather cute sight play out. A little boy who was roughly around her age was shyly trying to walk up to her to give her some flowers. But she kept getting crowded by other kids. One kid noticed and piped up while scoffing.
"Heh, well if it isn't Braginski~!"
The little boy tensed and looked nervous which made Tino nervous, he looked over his shoulder and waved Berwald over, making sure to keep an eye on the kids. As the boys started to mildly pick on him and poke him, Another boy snatched the flowers and started to throw them around playing monkey in the middle. Then one boy caught the flowers and threw them on the floor proceeding to stomp on them.
Berwald spoke in a low voice, "I'll handle this-"
He stopped midsentence when (f/n) rushed up the boys and started yelling for a teacher, the boys rushed away from her leaving her and a sad Ivan Bragkinski. (f/n) looked down at him and picked up one flower that was still alive, thanking him kindly she held out her hand to help him up. He blushed a little and smiled while standing up as well.
As she waved goodbye to him, while he was leaving with his sisters and an older woman, Tino spoke up curiously.
" (f/n), who was that boy you were waving to?"
(f/n) spoke up instantly, as if it were obvious, " That's my friend Ivan! He often gets picked on at school, so I decided I would be his friend and protect him!"
Erland snorted while drawing some window art from the fogged up window, " Seriously? he's a boy, boys should be able to take care of themselves...having a girl do it is so uncool and lame."
Peter glanced at Erland and bluntly added, " What about that girl, Violeta? Wasn't she calling you names in the lunchroom the other day and you called me over to hel-"
"Shut up jerk!" squawked Erland.
Tino looked over his shoulder, " Boys no fighting!"
