Ivan Braginski, age twenty-seven, was now currently a single father to his daughter (f/n). It was colder in January, much to Ivan's dislike. But he did his best to make sure his six-month-old daughter was warm. Pulling on his warm scarf that was knitted by his elder sister, he wrapped the ridiculously long fabric around his neck before wrapping up the baby and placing her in a baby carrier. He quickly opened the door and grunted.
"Oh dear...it seems to have gotten colder, has it not (f/n)?" he asked the baby who cooed in response.
As he walked out of the smaller apartment complex that they were both staying in, Ivan glanced at his watch and sighed as he continued to walk to his daughter's daycare while he could go to work with peace of mind. Before he and his ex-wife divorced they both new Mr. Wang and his family rather well since they were previously neighbors before Ivan had to move with (f/n) to someplace cheaper in rent and smaller. As they drew closer to the home, even the sun was starting to raise up in the morning sky making the cold air more bearable.
As they reached the steps (f/n) let out three sneezes randomly. Staring down at her he sighed, " Please do not tell me that you are getting sick. That cannot be something good for me."
He raised his fist to knock on the door before it opened quickly revealing the eldest son Kiku. He wore a white button-up shirt and a gray suit. He stopped abruptly, making sure that he wasn't going to ram into the father and baby standing on his doorstep.
"Ah, Hello Mr. Braginski." he bowed.
Ivan nodded his head and spoke," May I step in?"
Kiku nodded as Mei rushed to the door, " Brother you left your lunch- Ah Mr. Braginski!" she smiled big.
Ivan smiled as well and nodded as he walked into the home. Kiku gave his thanks taking the lunch and said one last goodbye before rushing out of the small courtyard and towards the main door. Mei slid the front door closed to trap the nice warm heat inside the home.
"I'm happy to see that you and little Bǎobǎo (f/n) okay!" she excitedly spoke.
As they turned the corner of the large open spaced home, Yao was busy in the kitchen still fixing some lunches for the two boys who were still eating at the table. Ren looked up and blinked, staring at Ivan for a long moment then his eyes zeroed in on (f/n), making him shoot out of his seat and dart across the large room.
"Uwah! it's (f/n)-yeodongsaeng! So cute as always!" he squealed while trying to pry her away from her father.
Ivan nodded and pulled her out from her baby carrier that he was using and handed her to Ren who held her carefully and playfully squished her cheeks. Leon nodded to Ivan and tried to catch glimpses of the baby while still trying to stay seated, eagerly wanting to see the adorable baby as well.
Yao turned around and placed his hands firmly on his hips, " Ren Yong Soo Wang! You come sit and finish your breakfast! Give the baby back to her father." he ordered.
Ren glanced over his shoulder and puffed his cheeks, pouting profusely. " Eh? But Appa gets to spend all day with (f/n)-yeodongsaeng!"
Yao frowned, " If you don't get over here I will slap you in front of (f/n). Come and sit!"
Ren inwardly sighed in defeat, handing the baby back to Ivan as he quickly walked back towards the table trying to eat his food a bit quicker. Yao waved Ivan over. " Have you eaten yet?"
Ivan placed his hand up, " Ah, spasbio, but I am fine. I do need to leave for work. Would you mind if I," he trailed off while Yao quickly got up and walked over to him.
