Several months had passed. Graduation arrived and everyone was asked to choose their career paths. Some chose to continue to university, some picked to find a job, others said they were moving out of the country to look for something better to do with their lives.

As the ceremony ended and everyone had received their diplomas, they hugged each other one by one, bid their farewells and took the opportunity to take more pictures. Some were teary-eyed though some smiled and congratulated their batch mates.

Gikwang smiled to himself as he held his diploma in his hands. Finally, he graduated high school. He walked slowly as he watched his old friends with whatever they were doing. They were bundled in groups but he was alone, and that made him sad. It wasn’t that he was too close to them; he just spent time with Dongwoon and Sangrae too much in the past.

... Sangrae.

“Yah~ Gikwang-ssi, come here!!” a girl classmate called for him. He snapped out of his reverie and came over to talk to her.

“Hey, congratulations,” he smiled, recognizing her a little.

“Congratulations to you too! What are your plans after graduation?” she asked.

Gikwang just shrugged. He hasn’t thought about it anyway.

“I don’t know yet. Maybe I’ll just apply for some job or something...” he replied.

“Really? I thought you were planning to enter university! My dad’s sending me to an entertainment company, he said I needed to earn money for university by myself,” the girl cheerfully replied.

“Entertainment Company? Really? That’s interesting. You want to be an idol then?”

“Well, yeah, sure. Why don’t you try applying to be a trainee too? That way you can have time to think of what you want to do, and at the same time earn money for university, right?” she suggested.

“Thanks for that wonderful idea!” he smiled. Being an idol, eh?

“Sure! Keep in touch okay?”

“Sure,”

After that the girl left. Gikwang watched her as she ran her way to their car. Her family must have been waiting for her.

“Why did she talk to me, anyway? I’m so rude to not even ask for her name,” he thought aloud.

“You made a new friend?” a familiar voice said. He turned around to see who it was.

“Sangrae,”

“Congratulations! We’ve graduated,” she smiled as she placed her hand in front of her. Though he was hesitant at first, he brought out his hand to shake it.

“Congratulations,” he smiled as he looked at her.

“Are you going to apply to be an idol then?” Sangrae tilted her head to the side.

“You were eavesdropping?” Gikwang grinned.

“No, I just happened to overhear your conversation,” she smiled back, fidgeting her hands as she avoided his gaze.
