"Scott McCall. Academically not the most accomplished, but I see you have become quite the star athlete. Stephanie Stilinski. Normal grades, but struggles with anger issues and concentration problems. Stiles Stilinski. Oh, twins. Perfect grades but little to no extracurriculars. Maybe you should try lacrosse?" Gerard looked at our papers as we were sitting across from him.

"Oh, actually I'm alread-

"Hold on. McCall. You're the Scott that was dating my granddaughter." He said, interrupting my brother.

"We were dating but not anymore. Not dating, not seeing any of eachother or doing anything with eachother... At all." Scott answered.

"Relax, Scott, you look like you're about to crack a cyanide pill with your teeth."

"Just a hard breakup."

"Oh, that's too bad. You seem like a pretty nice kid to me. Now listen, guys... and girl. Yes, I am the principal, but I really don't want you to think of me as en enemy." The guy said as he looked at us.

"Heh, is that so?" Stiles smiled.

"However, this being my first day, I need to support my teachers. So unfortunately someone is going to have to take the fall and stay behind for detention." He continued, ignoring Stiles.

Scott and I just looked at Stiles. He first didn't notice. He turned to us as he saw we were all looking at him, even Gerard. He sighted as he know he was going to have to stay.

Scott and I ran out of the office as we saw Isaac sitting in the back of a police car, we were too late as the car just drove away. It was only then that another one stopped in front of us. It was Derek's car.

"Get in." Derek commanded.

"Are you serious? You did that. That's your fault." I answered as I looked at the guy.

"I know that. Now get in the car and help me, both of you." Derek repeated.

"No, I've got a better idea. I'm gonna call a lawyer. Because a lawyer might actually have a chance at getting him out before the moon goes up." Scott explained.

"Not when they do a real search of the house."

"What do you mean?"

"Whatever Jackson said to the cops, what's in the house is worse. A lot worse." He opened the door of his car as Scott and I stepped in while Derek drove away.

We walked around Isaac's house with flashlights in our hand.

"If Isaac didn't kill his father, who did?" I asked.

"I don't know yet." Derek replied as he looked around.

"Then how do you know he's telling the truth?"

"Because I trust my senses. And it's a combination of them. Not just your sense of smell." Derek explained.

"You saw the lacrosse thing today." Scott said as he was now also looking at Derek.

"Yeah."

"Did it look that bad?"

"Yeah."

We walked around some more as Derek stopped in front of a door.

"You wanne learn? Let's start now." He opened the door to reveal stairs going down to the basement.

"What's down there?" I asked.

"Motive." Derek answered as Scott and I then walked down to look around.

"And what are we looking for?"
