I walked down the halls quietly by myself until eventually I got pushed into the lockers. "Slut." Amayah said as her friends laughed. "Im tired of y'all pushing me around leave me alone." I said pushing her on the floor. Once I did that her friends started to hit me. I covered my face as one of the girls kicked me. "Break it up, Office now." The security guard said as the tears started to fall. "Fuck you I fucking hate yall." I screamed running away. I ran out the school and down a path I saw King always take. As I was running I saw a group of boys standing around. "Why you not at school, what happened to your face." King said grabbing me. "Let me go." I screamed as he tightened his grip. "No im calling mama lets go,I'll hit yall up later." He said as we walked back down the path. "I got jumped Im tired of everybody pushing me around." I said as he hugged me since King was much taller. "Its okay we going home." He said as I dried my tears. After 20 mins of walking we finally got home. "Ma!" King yelled running around the house looking for her as I sat on the couch with a icepack watching him. "Call your mama yall finna go." My dad said walking in. "I dont have my phone." I said lowly. "Where its at Mel!" He yelled as I teared up. "Some girls at school broke it." I said starting to cry as he sighed. I hit the floor as he pushed me off the couch. "Go to your room until your mama get here." He said as I cried. "Stop pushing me, I hate you, I hate this, I hate being here!" I screamed at him then running upstairs.
King pov
Phone conversation
Me: come get us Devin bs and Melody wont stop crying
My heart: On my way now King pack yall some bags and go pack Deavion one too
Me: man what ma why we cant stay with you
My heart: yall are now hurry and do what i said I'll be outside
End of conversation
I packed bags as she said and packed my game. "Lets go." I said as Melody followed me downstairs. We walked past Devin and went outside hopping in the car. "What happened stink." She said rubbing Melody face. "I got jumped okay, Im tired of being pushed around." She said. "This will all be over with Tomorrow I promise." Ma said as I smiled knowing what that mean. She always found a way to make things better. "Now for tonight we're gonna eat pizza tomorrow How bout I order us wings deal?" She said as we pulled up to a hotel. "Deal." Me and Mel said hugging her. "Moma promise we not going back to Devin house, I hate it there." Melody said as I agreed. "I promise babies, now lets get inside." She said kissing us.
Devin pov
I sat across the street and watched Kira walk into the hotel. If she thought she was leaving me then she had another thing coming for her. I pulled up to the hotel and hopped out my car going inside.
Kira pov
"Keith im scared." I said thru the phone as he sighed. "I gotchu just stay on the phone if you so scared." He said as Melody started crying. "What is wrong with you." King said as I looked at her. "Daddy." She said walking over to me. I looked up at saw Devin standing there smiling. "Lets go home." He said as I shook my head. "We're not going with you Devin." I said as Melody hid behind me. "I said we're going home." He said grabbing me by my wrist.
Keith pov
I hopped outta bed grabbing my gun and texting the guys. We headed over to Devin house and sat in his living room waiting on him. After 15 mins the kids walked in crying. "Run to my house go out the backdoor." I said as they did as I said. Once they ran out the back door Devin walked in with Kira and we all pointed our gun at him. "Let her go bra." Deanthony said as he chuckled. "You to bra over a bitch." He said as Deanthony shook his head. "It don't gotta be this way but you taking it to far just let her go." He said as Devin cocked his gun. "Cool if I cant have her then nobody can." He said pushing her down and shooting her in the back.
Kira pov
I screamed out in pain as I hit the floor. I heard screaming but couldn't make out what was said, then everything went black.
