"I need a break from all this." Neha groaned out loud while lounging on her sofa. She couldn't believe how messed up her life had become, just because of that one guy. Last night after Aniket stormed off from Neha's apartment, Suraj quietly left, knowing he had done all the damage that was needed. At least he had Neha all to himself, no matter how much Neha wanted to strangle him.

She took out her phone and dialed Monak's number, "Monak I need a holiday, pronto."

"Ok princess. Who's got your panties in a twist?"

"Oh please, I'm really not in my best mood."

"So I hear. Where are you planning to go?"

"Delhi. I need some girl company."

...

The Indigo flight landed right on time in Delhi airport. Neha walked out with her bag, hugging her jacket close to prevent the biting cold. She searched for a familiar face when a high pitched squeal made her turn around.

"Nehaaaaa!" Saniya, Neha's college friend had come to pick her up from Delhi airport with her husband Sanjay. Neha smiled and hugged her. "Good to see you Saniya." Saniya poked her tongue.

"Come on we gotta go. Everyone's already arrived. The party's at my home."

And so they all got into Sanjay's Renault and got stuck into the usual Delhi traffic. Soon enough they reached Saniya and Sanjay's home at Noida. As soon as Neha stepped inside the cozy home she was greeted with loads of hugs and squeals. Neha's friends from college also her roommates had been her constant companions for four long years and even after college their bonding has grown stronger.

Among them were Saniya, Meeta, Varsha and Ahana. Their group had been one of the most fun groups in the entire university. During the four years they had been together they had done everything together, from bunking classes and hanging out to consolations during heartbreaks, gossiping over crushes and of course making fun of each other. Undoubtedly they had become friends for life.

Now after three more years they have all gone down different roads. While Neha settled with her passion for writing, Saniya got married with her childhood sweetheart Sanjay and working with Cognizent, Ahana was working with Dove and in a happy live-in-relationship with her boyfriend Ramesh and Varsha followed her father's footsteps and was an associate at a well-known firm in Bangalore, while Meeta fulfilled her dreams and partnered with a renounced fashion designer.

So all of them sat around on the sofa in the middle of the living room, reminiscing about their college days. Mayuri was talking non-stop about attendance and bunking classes, whereas Neha's mind was floating elsewhere entirely.

Flashback:

"So why did you guys breakup?" Saniya asked Neha. It was the first night and after all of them were settled in their rooms in the girl's hostel they started talking about themselves. When Neha was asked about her boyfriend she told them all about Suraj.

"Because we are not really believers of long distance relationships." Neha answered simply.

The board results came out and as Suraj predicted, Neha was all set to go to KIIT University in Bhubaneswar. Neha didn't want to go, but due to her formidable mother she had no choice. So Suraj decided to take a break from their relationship, and Neha didn't object.

"But you still love him don't you?" Ahana asked cheerfully.

Neha kept quiet for a moment and thought about it. "Yes, I do. A lot." She smiled.

End of Flashback

"Hello earth to Neha, where are you babe?" Varsha's sudden nudge brought Neha back to reality.

"Yeah I'm here. Actually I wanted this reunion because I need to tell you girls something. You remember Suraj right?"

"Yeah who could forget that idiot who broke your heart?" Ahana snorted and everyone else laughed.

"Well he's back. Back with a vengeance."

"Ok you got our attention sweety. Tell us everything."

So Neha told them the entire story about what happened in the past few days. After she finished all of her friends were dumbfounded.

"Oh my god Neha! So much happened and you're telling us now?" Meeta's voice could almost knock the walls down.

"I wanted to. But I needed this get together. Too much information for one phone call girls."

"That's right. But don't worry sweety. You're here now so just enjoy these few days. You really need some relaxation." Saniya hugged Neha and she felt better.

"Yeah don't think about that idiot." Varsha suggested and Neha smiled. These girls could lighten up her mood anytime. "I've got some good friends indeed," Neha thought to herself as she settled in the couch for a movie night with her friends. She was determined not to spoil her weekend by thinking about him. But even she couldn't have imagined what came next.
