"He's gone!" I heard Cal say with his "mad but scared" voice.
"Don't worry, we'll find him! It's not a big deal, 7 isn't even that far away." I reassured him as I packed up all of my important stuff.
"Um, yes it is a big deal! My boyfriend is an alien being hunted down by other aliens and is out there alone!" he said, sounding like a worried mom.
"You worry too much, he can fight. Plus, we're leaving right now." I said done packing.
"Ok, let's go then." He said calming himself down. It reminded me of his mom when she first took me and my cêpan in.
I walked out of the shed and waited for Cal to get out as the hot African Sun beat down on me. He walked out with his hand covering his face from the Sun.
"You ready?" I asked him.
"This is one of the best parts." He said sarcastically before I focused my legacy. I felt time seem to slow and the heat seemed to lessen. I closed my eyes and both felt and heard the shed crumble under an increased amount of gravity. I opened my eyes again to see a pile of wooden rubble laying at my feet. I focused my legacy yet again and scattered all the pieces to places I'll probably never know.
"Now, for the fun part!" I said looking at Cal with a witty smile.
His arms were crossed and he looked at me with a serious face before fake smiling," Lets go!"
I closed my eyes and focused. I envisioned where 3 was and saw a island with shining blue waters surrounding it. Then, it zoomed in on a waterfall and even went past it to reveal a hideout. 3 Sat down on a couch telling about stories he's had. I felt everything seem to fade away and I was there along with Cal.
"Oh shit!" Someone said before jumping off the couch. 3 just sat there and rolled his eyes.
"7, meet 4 and my boyfriend,Cal." He said looking at us as he said the names," Cal and 4, meet 6."
"A teleporting legacy?! Come on!" 7 said throwing his hands in the air.
I chuckled," Yep. I'm pretty damn lucky." I threw my hand out to shake his. He smiled and shook it.
"Wooh, what a great party. Now, how the fuck did you get here Trevor?" Cal asked, putting a damper on the good mood.
"Does it matter?" 3, or Trevor as Cal calls him, said.
"Yes, it does."
"4 teleported me here." He confessed.
"Hey, you said you wouldn't tell!" I said mad but not mad enough to show it.
"Sorry…" Trevor said looking down.
"So these are your friends?" A boy said peeking his head out into the living room.
"That's Ty, he's," he looked at him like they were having a mental conversation," my friend."
"Nice to meet you. Now, Trevor what do we do?" Cal asked still in a bad mood. Man, I bet they don't like him.
"I don't know. We were going to talk about that. Why don't you sit down and talk with us?" he said holding back his embarrassment and anger. I saw his fists clenched and he was biting on his lower lip.
"Fine." Cal said reluctantly before sitting down by Trevor.
"Ok then, guys take a seat!" 7 said trying to sound as enthusiastic as possible.
I sat down on the couch Trevor and Cal were on, but on the far end. The couch was very cushiony and I felt like sinking into it. 7 and the boy, Ty, sat down on the couch across from us. It was then that I noticed how young they both were. I was probably only a year or two older, but they seemed so innocent and young. Like they didn't know what they were thrust into and rolled with the punches as best as they could. 7 wore a fake, enthusiastic posture and the boy obviously felt unneeded and useless. It made my heart ache, but I let nothing show. Somehow, the room had a tense atmosphere.
