I gazed at the destroyed castle that stood before us. I tried to remember what our recruiting call sounded like, but the rather gorgeous jewel had taken away much of my memory.
"Lunar, what was our recruiting call again?" I asked my brother.
"You expect me to remember that old thing? All I can recall is the complexity of it!" He replied grumpily.
"You aren't helpful in any situation, are you?" I demanded.
"Nope." Lunar replied.
I sighed. How are we going to be able to rebuild our empire if we can't even recruit our soldiers? I thought. I stared at our paws. I realized that there was a familiar face staring back up at me.
"Need help, sirs?" Refala, the empire's third in command offered.
"Refala! Thank goodness you're here!" I said in relief . "Could you possibly call your soldiers? We need help rebuilding the empire."
"Of course, Mr. Solar." Refala lifted her head to the sky, her one eye glowing in the shadows of the Dark Deciduous. She let out a chorus of strange sounds, each sounding different than the one before.
I swiveled my large ears around. I could hear fast-paced paw steps pounding from every direction. Small, gray creatures swarmed into the open clearing in which we stood.
"We need to help Emperors Solar and Lunar rebuild the Eclipse Empire." She told the Elaties. The tiny animals looked at each other and nodded their heads. Immediately, they scattered to gather up any stray residents of the fallen empire.
I chuckled menacingly. "The empire shall rise once again!"
