"What?" Selffe stared at the messenger in disbelief.
"Really?" Two large, lizard-like creatures dashed into the clearing.
"What's an Eclipse Emerald?" I asked, feeling slightly awkward for interrupting.
"Not an Eclipse Emerald, the Eclipse Emerald!" The messenger screeched.
"Effeo, calm down!" Omma tried to soothe him, but he wouldn't relax. She eventually gave up on trying and turned to me.
"The Eclipse Emerald is a sacred jewel that had contained the evil emperors' spirits." Omma told me.
"Who were the evil emperors?" I asked her.
"Their names were Solar and Lunar. They were the Eclipse twins. Solar controlled the sun, and Lunar controlled the moon. They were both good-hearted. Then, one day, a shadowy force had conjoined them as a punishment for a wrong they had done. They hated that, so they went off to the Dark Deciduous.
"For a long while, they had done no harm to the creatures of the Pastel Prairies. Then, when they least expected it, Solar and Lunar released an attack against them with an entire empire. The battle wasn't going well for the Pastel Prairies, but they had outnumbered the Eclipse Empire and won. The creatures had captured the emperors' spirits with the Eclipse Emerald so they could never harm them again."
"I think the history of your world is way more interesting than the history of mine." I commented.
"It's not interesting!" Effeo shrieked. "It's terrifying! Creatures were killed!"
"Effeo is right. It's not interesting." Lethar agreed.
"Okay, whatever, not interesting." I said sarcastically.
"Ignore them, Sam," Omma told me.
"Fine. Can you guys just help me find the exit to this place? I need to get back home." I said.
"Exit? Oh, umm..." Selffe replied. "There isn't an exit. Your kinda stuck here, kid."
