Chapter 19.5: I'm what!-James Darrison January 17th.

I told Tyler not to write this one since I wanted my death to be private. I opened my eyes just a little staring at the starry black sky so peaceful. Just black on white with the wind blowing in my face blood dripping down my face. So this is how I die. I guess this is good enough I died fighting, I died in nature I died with a clear conscience, and best of all I died painless. I closed my eyes waiting for God to take me but instead I heard a loud whisper in my ear.
"Pisst! Over here!"
It was coming from down at the trees below it was a grown man. He was skinny with long dark brown hair that looked like it was never cut with with a big busy beard.
"This doesn't have to be the end for you, you know?"
I looked down at the big gapping whole in my chest and the piece of bark that had been lodged into my skull.
"Yeah I think it is buddy."
"Then why are you still talking?" The man asked.
Wait a fricken minute he's right how am I still talking? How am I still breathing at that.
"There's an obvious answer but you need to say it to yourself and understand it." he said.
I should be dead. I'm pretty sure that your not supposed to be able to survive a major heart and brain injury much less both at the same time. I guess I sort of get used to it with Danny losing an entire arm and only bleeding a little or Shane constantly regrowing his flesh instantly after it burns off when it rains that I kind of forgot how....
"Holy shit I'm a Beast."
"Ding ding ding!" Said the hooded man. Here's the next part that's gonna make this even harder for you there's a reason Beast Forms act out around you."
This should be a simple answer maybe its because I'm more human than monster.
"You are Lord Azgulth."
My eyes shattered into a million pieces my jaw dropped from the sheer shock. The weight of those words hit me like a truck going 95 miles an hour on a freeway at 12:05 at night running over a deer that was just waiting to die. I am that deer! For starters how would I not know this? Secondly why do I hang out with a bunch of monsters all the time?, and finally and this is the most important part by far why is it that my parents don't have all the books statues and traditions like Danny's Family?
"Oh yeah probably should have mentioned this you were adopted I ding dong ditched your current parents with you on their door step before I had to leave my son in the woods so he may one day accept his destiny."
Now convinced I wouldn't explode in a million pieces I pushed myself up ripping myself out of the tree the holes were still there when I landed just a big misshapen circle on my head and chest with bits of bone, organs, and flesh sticking out.
"Hey why isn't it healing like everybody else does?"
"I locked away your power when you were born to try and avoid attracting attention to yourself."
As I got a good look at him something about his eyes made his story make more sense.
"Are you Tyler's father?"
He looked down at the ground bit his tongue stuck his hands in his pockets and rolled his eyes.
"You uh met my son?"
"Yeah my friend Shane said he knew of someone who had extensive knowledge on things."
"Little earlier than I would have liked but it will have to do."
"I don't like the sound of that."
"Neither do I but it is as it is written in order to stop the imposter of man Lord Azgulth must be rejoined by his shadow."
"My shadow what does that mean?"
"James this might be a bit weird for you but when my wife gave birth to our son she gave birth to Lord Azgulth along with what I am and what my son obviously is a shadow."
"So your my father?"
"No not really since your not a shadow I'm a Shade and my offspring is also a Shade. In a way your Tyler's half brother though. Since you do have the same mother."
I'm related to Tyler? Okay how can this day get any weirder.
"Wait until we get to the castle then that might just answer your question."
And so we walked off into who knows where.
