---One Month Ago Before the Mishap---

It was 7 in the evening. Seokjin was all alone in the mansion as his appointments got over early. Jungkook had not returned home yet and the rest of his family members were at Jungkook's grandpa's place in Busan while Mr. Kim was in his hometown.

Feeling lonely at home, reached out for his phone on the table and was about to dial his husband's number when his phone began to ring. It was Jungkook. He received his call with ecstasy.

"Hello, Kookie? When will you be returning? Everybody has left and I'm feeling very lonely." The younger's dulcet voice floated through Jungkook's ears, fluttering his heart.

"Jin, I will be returning home late tonight." He answered from the other side.

"Why late?" Seokjin pouted. Since he was home alone, he wanted to spend some quality time with his husband.

"Actually, it's one of my batchmate's birthday and Taehyung was insisting on accompanying him to the restaurant where he has thrown a small party. I tried to decline the offer but Tae would not take no for an answer. Since there is no one at home, be careful. Go to sleep, you need not wait for me. No staying up late, understood?" Even though he barely expresses it, he cares a lot for his wife.

"At least you are becoming a bit social under Taehyung's influence. That's a great achievement!" He giggled.

The brunette was a bit upset about having to spend the evening alone but nonetheless, his grumpy husband was at least becoming social. He respected his husband's space and privacy and knew that he should engage himself in gatherings with his peers as well.

"Yah! Jeon Seokjin! I would have punished you for saying this. I have to go now. Cya." He hung up.

Seokjin sighed. He stretched his arms and let out a squeal. Being home alone didn't seem that bad at all. It's been a while since he had been alone. Most of the time he would have the company of either Woozi or Mrs. Jeon, but being solitary at times had its own advantage. He decided to watch a movie and take a relaxing bubble bath before going to bed.

After dinner, he watched a movie and read a few pages of a medical journal. The reading made him feel drowsy. Stretching his arms, he let out a violent yawn. He gazed at the clock and it was already 15 to 11.
