Happy Halloween you guys! Enjoy!
Mark

"Come on! We have to do something to celebrate." Jinyoung pushed his bottom lip out in a pout, his entire body in the grocery cart, riding in it while I went up and down the isle searching for food we needed. I turned to him just as I grabbed bread and said,"Yeah well until you have something better in mind, I don't think so." One of the only dilemmas in our relationship is that our families celebrate things differently. And Jinyoung wants to bake pumpkin pie and go to haunted houses and decorate the house. I want to dress up and carve pumpkins and go to a Halloween party with friends. I've already told Jinyoung I hate haunted houses, can't bake to save my life, and we barely have enough money for food how are we suppose to decorate until my next paycheck? He just replied that he has never dressed up before and doesn't like it, thinks pumpkin carving is gross, and hates social gatherings. Adding that his family has decorations.

The whole thing became a mini argument at ten o'clock at night, and by then we both were too frustrated and tired to continue. We had gone to bed, as far away from each other as possible. That morning we.....made up. And now here we both are, searching for our next few dinners, and some desserts. I could tell Jinyoung was deep in thought when I gently placed the milk down, and he jumped in surprise. Then his face lit up with a smile and I could practically see the lightbulb light up. "What if we go visit my parents?" He said back proudly, thinking that solved everything. "Your parents? We've been dating for six months and you want me to meet your parents now?" Jinyoung shrugged. "What's wrong with that?"

I sighed and began pushing the cart. "Nothing, nothing is wrong with it. I just think I should meet them in a more proper way, not on a holiday when I'm in my costume." Jinyoung raised an eyebrow. "Still stuck on dressing up?" Going past the dressings and jams section I turned into the cereal isle. "Yes, I am. I still think you should too." He gave me a look and I continued. "You can be anything you want to be, plus no one know it's you. I know you would love to be a fictional character for the day." Jinyoung didn't back down. "And I know you would enjoy eating pumpkin pie after we bake it. Food that you cook yourself always tastes better." I gave him a look that said 'touché'.

"Maybe, we could make a deal." I suggested, pausing to ask the worker at the bakery for a cookie 'sample'. Taking two cookies I thanked the worker and walked away, handing Jinyoung a cookie as he raised an eyebrow at me. "And what deal is that exactly?"

   Jinyoung

I can't believe I agreed to this. It was a simple deal, and we both got pros, so it seemed great. But we both had cons too. And I didn't realize what I had agreed to until after I agreed to it. Now here I was sitting on our garage floor, a giant trash bag spread out in front of me and Mark standing there with a huge grin. In his hands were two orange blobs. Pumpkins. Mark sat down on the other side of the bag, a big smile on his face as he placed down the pumpkins and carving supplies. At least that's what I think a knife is here for. The deal was that we would do one thing I did on Halloween as I kid, and one thing Mark did. Let's just say I stupidly agreed and he decided to do his first. Which was pumpkin carving.

"Don't give me that look." He chuckled. I hadn't even realized I was giving him a look at all. I just sighed while shaking my head. "I never should have agreed to this." I mumble, and he hears me. Mark scoffs, putting his hand out towards me with a pumpkin in it. "What?" I asked when he motioned for me to do something. Mark gave me a 'you've got to be kidding me look'. "Take the pumpkin Jinyoung." My body immediately leaned away, and Mark stood up before making his way over to me. "Fine. How about we do a pumpkin together?" I tried to think up an excuse to not do it at all.

"But how are we suppose to do one- woah!" Mark placed the pumpkin down and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me into his lap and placing the pumpkin in front of us. He gave my neck a few kisses, like he usually does when we are this close, and smiled. "Problem solved." Shaking my head I tried to hide my own smile pushing towards the surface. "You're an idiot Tuan. Now how the hell do we carve a pumpkin?"

For the next two hours Mark slowly took me through carving a pumpkin. Cutting a hole in the top, and taking its pumpkin guts out. I may have screamed when he threw some at me, but I was caught off guard and thought they were disgusting at the time. After successfully carving pumpkins, a cat and....a scary face I guess, I could say I was okay with pumpkin carving and didn't hate it as much anymore. Of course Mark made it one hundred times better, so that's a bit of cheating the system.

We were now standing in onesies(our costumes since I refused something else) in the middle of my apartment kitchen, and it was my turn to show Mark how I celebrate Halloween. "Okay first get the supplies." Mark quickly grabbed a spoon, and I sighed internally. This is gonna be a long night. I made Mark do all the simple yet fun things, like stirring and putting things in the oven, and even getting stuff from the fridge. Of course he didn't look to excited at first but when we placed the pie in the oven and had a thirty minute break, he staid in the kitchen to watch it cook.

When the beeping went off I was in Mark's room, resting on the bed with a book in my hand. It was getting rather interesting when loud footsteps echoed down the apartment hallway. I only had to wait a few more seconds before a body was launched through the doorway and in front of me. Mark was practically bouncing where he stood when he exclaimed. "The pie is done!" Putting my book down I took my time getting up, making Mark more impatient. Giving him an 'I knew it' smile I walked passed him to the kitchen, him following me similar to a child.

When I got out the mittens, as I called them, Mark reached out. "Can I do it?" Chuckling at the change out character I told him he could as long as he was careful. He placed the mittens on with a serious expression, and opened the oven slowly before jumping back. "It's hot!" I couldn't help myself from laughing. "Mark it's an oven, it's suppose to be hot." Going behind him I place his covered hands in mine and guided them into the oven, grabbing the edges of the pan and pulling it out to the stove. Letting go of his hands I closed the oven and turned it off.

Mark peered over my shoulder, giving me no room to do anything. "Hey Mark, I need room." I said in a light tone, and Mark stumbled on his words while backing up. Ending up mumbling a small sorry. I gave him a smile to let him know it was okay, and stepped back. "It needs to cool down for a bit." Mark pouted, and I could tell he had no idea he was doing it. "For how long?" I pinched his cheeks. "Stop pouting, it'll only be a few minutes." He crossed his arms before turning his face away to escape my hands, but I could tell he was hiding a small smile. "Okay, lets cuddle while we're waiting."

I was insanely comfortable on the couch when I realized we lost track of time and had been letting the pie cool down for half an hour. "Mark?" The said man bummed into my neck, his entire body wrapped around me, keeping me warm. "The pie is probably done now." Mark groaned, shuffling around and untangling himself from me. "I was comfy, but now I'm hungry." I giggled, getting up from the couch as well. We made it to the kitchen and I cut up the pie into eight pieces so we each got four, and put two on a plate. Placing the rest in a container for later I put it in the fridge as Mark took the plate back to the couch.

When I walked into the living room Mark was already in the process of eating his piece. "This is really good Jinyoungie." Sitting beside him on the couch I took a fork and began eating. It wasn't the best pumpkin pie I've ever made, but who I made it with definitely put it up there. "Did you like making it?" Mark looked away, his ego getting the best of him. "Maybe?" He muttered, and then quickly changed the subject. "Did you enjoy pumpkin carving?" Oh I see how it is. I shrugged mockingly, pretending to change my voice to Mark's. "Maybe." Mark narrowed his eyes, and in seconds we were both laughing.

"Okay, but next year we are visiting my parents."
