7 years later... Taylor's P.O.V
it was a sunny day in phoenix.. figures. it was 3.10 and school had broken out for the day, and i was walking home with my best guy friend harry. well he only thought that i liked him for a best friend.. nobody called him Harry because he didn't think it was 'cool' enough. so everyone calls him ellis. boys are so stupid sometimes.
this was a casual every day walk home, he was pointing out all the gorgeous women he saw, while i just nodded, and tried not to seem too jealous or angry, that he never said that i was beautiful or pretty. i wouldn't mind if he gave me one little compliment, but no. he didn't. i was put in the friend zone a long back. i know right? a girl,in the friendzone. normally you hear boys explaining about this type of stuff.. but no, the only guy that i had properly liked, had called me 'his sister little' i had never felt so disapointed in my life.. okay that was a lie. the 2nd most disapointed i had been. me losing my best friend! had been my first.
i could feel tears starting to swell up in my eyes, until i remembered i had been walking with harry for about 10 minutes now, and i hadn't said one word.. great.. i think he noticed i was a bit out of it because he waved his hand over my face and said
'can't you stop day dreaming it's starting to freak me out..'
great now he thinks i'm a freak. great way to make a guy like you.
i couldn't think of any smart come back to say back to him so i just decided to say
'yeah sorry about that, thinking about.. stuff?'
he raised his eyebrows suggesting i was on some crazy medication. fantastic now he thinks i'm a loony and a freak. now i'm definatly 100% sure that he would never like me, like me..
we we're about 5 minutes until we reached my street, lucky enough harry lived down the street from me so i didn't have to walk alone. and because he failed his driving test 7 times! we weren't going to be in a car any time soon.
we had been walking for atleast 4 minutes now. in silence, but i didn't mind. as long as i got to spend time with harry, that's all that matters.
Harry pointed at a girl, i had to admit she was stunning! golden tan, tall, blonde, harry was bound to mention something.. it was strange though, it felt like i knew her. after a couple of seconds thinking of where i had seen this girl before. Harry jumped up and down like a loony. and he thought i was crazy? he then pointed at the girl that i was hoping he wouldn't notice. for a moment i thought he wasn't going to say anything about this girl.. i can be so stupid sometimes.
'tay!! tay!!tay!! that girl is so hot!'
he was basically shouting.. smooth harry.
'yeah shes.. pretty'
i didn't sound too convincing.. but i was hoping he wouldn't notice.
he noticed.
'how could you say 'yeah she's pretty' she is freaking gorgeous! i think i need to go and show off my new pick up lines'
i can tell you know. he had the worst pick up lines. but because he was hot and had a smokin' body! he got away with it.
as he was heading towards her i grabbed his arm.. and then i saw her, i hadn't noticed how close we had gotten to my house.. but there she was right by my door stop.
'REBECCCAAAAAA'
i ran as quickly as possible. my cheap school shoes, were slipping off my feet, but i didn't care, my long lost best friend! was back!
i wasn't paying any attention to harry, or if anyone was thinking i was crazy, i just wanted to see my best friend.
when i finally got close to her. she didn't look the same.There was something off about her. she had scares all over her arm's and legs. they looked like burn marks. her eyes also looked miserable and worn out. her blonde hair notty, and not brushed. this was not right. i had to find out what was wrong.
before i could get a word in she blurted out
'we need to talk..'
this didn't sound good.
