I woke up on my bed with a blanket over me. It was really light in the room because the sun was out and there were no blinds up yet. I groaned as I sat up, I was still in pain from my little meet with my dad.

I got out of bed and opened the door I heard some people talking.

"Vic, I know that you want to help as many people as possible but I don't know how long mom and dad can feed three teenagers. I don't know how long they can afford to send three people to school. I know she won't want to go to that school again so they'll have to pay for her to go somewhere else." It was Mike talking to Vic.

I walked won the stairs and both boys looked at me.

" don't mind going back to that school, I don't want your parents to have to pay allot on me. I also don't eat allot so it shouldn't be an issue." I said as I sat down on the couch, right next to Vic. Vic smiled.

"I'll leave you two here, Vic keep her company, I'm going to go on a walk." Mike said with anger in his voice as he stood up and walked out the door.

"So, I'm going to guess that he doesn't want me here." I said.

"No! It's not that, it's just that he's worried about how much my parents will have to pay. He thinks you're awesome. I swear." I didn't believe him.

"Can you help me put my room together? I'm going to need some blinds though." I asked the cute Mexican sitting next to me.

"Sure! I'll ask my mom if I can get some money from her purse so I can take you out to lunch and get you some blinds." I smiled as Vic ran up the stairs. I sighed right as Mike walked in.

"What's the sigh for?" Mike questioned.

"Nothing, oh just nothing," I replied.

"There's something up. I've heard that sigh a few times from other people, that's the sigh someone makes when they really like someone." Mike furrowed his eyebrows. "You like Vic don't you?"

"What? No! Why would you think that? I'm just glad to be out of my parents' house! I'm glad I don't have to deal with beatings every day! That's all, wh-why would you think I like Vic? I rambled a bit flustered. Mike couldn't know that I liked his big brother.

"You're lying; sure all those things are true, but not the entire truth. You didn't sigh for that reason. You like Vic. I'm not stupid. Don't worry; I won't tell him, I'll wait for him to figure it out himself." Mike chuckled as he left the room. I sat there blushing like crazy. Was it really that noticeable that I liked Vic?

Vic walked back down the stairs with some money in his hand. "My mom gave me two hundred dollars. She said to take you somewhere nice and not some cheap fast food place. Go get dressed, we're going shopping, we can get paint, a clock, a lamp, really anything you want for your room. Hurry up so we can go!" Vic sounded psyched about being able to go shopping with me.

"Why are you so excited? We're just going to go get stuff for my room?" I asked Vic, he blushed.

"Well, I'll be able to spend the day with you and honestly, that will be incredibly fun." Vic replied, he seemed to be a bit embarrassed.

"Shouldn't we have more money if we're getting all of that?" I asked Vic. He nodded.

"I'll go get more money while you go get dressed. My mom told me that tomorrow we're going to get up you're room so you can't sleep in there tonight, we'll find somewhere for you to sleep. Now go get dressed!" Vic said as he walked back up the stairs.

I got off the couch and headed to my room. I closed the door and sighed as I slid down the wall. Why was Vic so perfect and funny? I didn't even know it was possible for someone to be that amazing. I got brought back to reality when I heard someone clear their throat.
