Dan woke up.
It was all a dream.
He had went to school, and Phil did say hi and hug him. But nothing happened afterwards.
Phil never apologized to Dan and kissed his scars. He never said he wasn't happy and he never talked to Dan.
Everything was a dream.
Why did everything good in life have to be a dream?
He had wished so badly that everything in that dream had been true...
I'm a goner.
