"Yes I am Rosalie Hale, and yes we are related. When I first saw you at that diner I was drawn to you and I couldn't understand why. Well that is until you told me your last name." She smiled, "My brother is George Hale, which makes you my great great niece."
"Well. This is news." I sighed. I was feeling so many emotions I didn't know what to do with myself. "So wait. You are the sworn enemy of my cousin and my boyfriend but at the same time you're my great great aunt. This is going to be a more interesting move and town than I thought." I laughed at the irony.
"Yes well God enjoys a good comedy as much as the rest of us doesn't he?" She smiled.
"I'd love to stay here for the rest of the day, but unless you want two angry and over protective wolves coming into your home I'm guessing I should get going." I sighed, "As my new best friend and great great aunt you are required to hang out with me at least once a week." I laughed.
"Well obviously. I'll call you tomorrow and we'll make plans!" She smiled, "it's nice to have a blood relative around again. I miss my brother George more than anything, and you remind me so much of him. From your sarcasm to the way your nose crinkles when you laugh and smile." She said, "I'll see you soon sweet Caroline." She told me as she walked me out.
As I drove back to the reservation all I could think about was how she became a vampire. What was the reason for her turning. I know it wasn't her choice. I could tell by the way she talked of her family that she loved them far too much to leave them behind just for the promise of immortality. She wasn't the type that cared about everlasting beauty. She was too maternal.
When I reached Jacobs house he rushed outside opening my door for me and grabbing me into a hug after examining me for injury.
"Thank God you're okay Caroline. I was so worried." He said
"I know I'm sorry. But as you'll find I don't like being told what to do. So I ignored you." I laughed.
