~3rd Person~
The doctor looked back into the room, sighing softly.
The girl, (Y/N), was still there, sitting in the same chair, staring at her boyfriend.
She felt bad for (Y/N). The girl hadn't left the room, not wanting to leave him for a second.
The doctor turned around, hearing the nurse walk up.
"Ma'am? Here's the recent X-rays." He handed them to the doctor, in a tan folder. She pulled them out, and internally winced.
The healing wasn't going well.
It showed the back bone, and the spinal cord. The spinal cord was torn, close to breaking; it wasn't healing properly.
Metal poles kept the bone together; that was healing, at least. It was the spinal cord that worried her.
"Ma'am, what are you going to do?" The nurse asked, glancing at the x-rays for a second before looking back up at her.
She sighed. "If the spinal cord doesn't start healing properly...
...we just might have to take him off life support."
