Toyohisa remembered all those times when you were kids.

When you would always beat him in training and he would challenge you again, when you two would even resort to biting each other as a form of competition (which made his uncles and even his father tease you both as "the puppies of Shimazu"), when you would share the same bed as him without complaints, even sharing the same bath..

And now was the only time he realized that you both were getting older.

He gulped. Suddenly it felt really hot, even if his armor showed much of his skin.

You armor showed much of your skin as well.

He shook his head, trying to focus on the feel of his weapon rather than how your legs seemed really soft right now. Soft enough to be a pillow.

Was the sun getting to him? He hoped not. Toyohisa was really pumped up for this battle, as there were reports of Ii Naomasa joining it. The last thing he needed was him collapsing due to heatstroke.

It wasn't your first time joining a battle with him, it's just that... he was a bit slow when it came to these things.

"You don't seem like yourself today, kid." He slightly jumped at the sudden appearance of his uncle. Yoshihiro looked at him, looked at you, and back to Toyohisa again. He chuckled and pat his nephew on the back. "It seems that you're finally becoming a man."

"W-WAH, UNCLE...!"

"But you know... she's really turned out into a fine woman!"

Toyohisa fell silent as his ears picked up on the soldiers' conversation.

"Yeah... From a pup of the Shimazu, Lady (F/N) became Shimazu's bi-"

A giant axe and a flail suddenly came inbetween the two soldiers, digging into the ground. They shrieked and ran to their posts, one near the gate and one tending to the weapons.

You and Toyohisa made eye contact with each other when they left, each of you holding their respective weapons. A passerby might hear sounds of growling between the two of you, but the tension was cut short when the sound of the war drums echoed throughout the camp. You took out your weapons and went your separate ways, but still met at the frontlines of the army.

"Some things never change." A man smiled beside Yoshihiro, seeing you elbow Toyohisa's stomach and initiating a small fight between the two of you.

Yoshihiro nodded. "But now it seems that we'll have another batch of pups in the future, brother." He let out a small smile.

surprise i got a ps4 AND samurai warriors 4 (special anime edition or whatever) so i get to see my faves in HD : ))) also i got inspired bc of it so have a toyohisa
