[3. headcanons | first date]

mitsunari does a bit of research before planning. it shouldn't be so hard, right? with all the advice and tips he read on the internet, he decides to go with a casual walk at the park, eating at the nearby cafe if his date wanted to eat. however, actually going on the date is much more different than planning. when they meet up, he didn't know what to say, saying that his date's outfit is 'okay' instead of telling her that she looked beautiful. the whole date wasn't really a disaster but it was really awkward. mitsunari's date feels happy though since his intentions were genuinely good, but he just couldn't put them in action. a simple peck on the cheek and thank you at the end of the date is all it takes to get his heart pouding in his chest.

yoshitsugu doesn't do planning on this first date, and it will be a rare time that he actually plans for future dates. he goes with the flow, asking the girl he likes on a spontaneous date and taking her to his favorite favorite place: the cat cafe (unless she's allergic or scared of cats, of course). they have a great time playing with cats, especially the little black kitten with a blue handkerchief around his neck.

kiyomasa wants his date to enjoy more than he will, so he asks her what she wants. assuming she says the usual "wherever you want to go", he'll suggest a zoo and she agrees. he's excited as he plans to go first to the tigers with her. in the end, he... kind of enjoys the trip to the zoo more than his date. all's well though bc he has good intentions and his date understands that. the next time they have a date, kiyomasa let's his partner decide where to go. yeah he's pretty embarrassed by this ok it's cute

takatora, denser than lead probably, didn't mean to ask the person he likes out on a date. tbh he thought it was a quick and friendly outing until he realized last minute that "oh crap it's probably a date". he decides to take a page out of yoshitsugu's book and goes with the flow. they go to the mall and buy some school supplies and stuff for projects or whatever. they eat at an ice cream place. takatora buys his date a gift. you know what it is? yeah it's a scarf. in the end, they both had fun and all's well
