《 Addison's POV》
It felt as if the road would never end. Like the trees would never come to a stop.
Although I really didnt know who, or what, I was running from, I kept going. My feet were just about ready to give way, when I heard a low cackle. I turned around to find the face of a man I recognized, but didn't exactly know.
He held a gun to my head, just between my eyebrows and I heard the trigger click. I winced and squeezed my eyes shut, ready for the worst. i couldn't move. I was frozen in place with a gun held to my head.
Right before he pulled the trigger all the way, I screamed. I suddenly felt my shoulders shaking, but not on their own, something was shaking them, and causing the rest of my body to jolt out of the guns point.
"Addi. Addison. Addison wake up. Addison!" I opened my eyes to find my best friend Theo shaking me awake. Sweating and panting I sat up in my bed. I looked down at the floor and saw the air matress and blankets that Theo has been sleeping on these past few nights, and remembered why he was here.
"Hey," I said. "Sorry I woke you.. I just had a nightmare." "Dont apologize, it's alright. But, are you okay? You havent reacted to a nightmare that bad since we were in like, what, 6th grade?" Theo asked.
"Yeah... But im okay. It wasn't that bad," I sighed. "Well, do you want me to sleep next to you tonight? Just in case you have another nightmare?" It wasn't weird or anything having Theo sleep next to me. We've been having sleepovers since we were kids. "Sure," I replied scooting over.
Theo got his pillow off the air matress and placed it down next to mine, and layed down on the bed beside me. I heard shuffling behind me but my back was turned to Theo, so I couldn't see what he was doing.
Soon, I felt a strong warm arm slip around my waist and pull me close. "Goodnight Addi," Theo whispered. "Goodnight Theo," I replied. Moments later, I heard soft snoring and smiled a bit, letting myself fall asleep again.
Theo and I have been friends since birth basically. My mom and Theo's mom grew up together, and just so happened to get pregnant around the same time. Although we were both 17, Theo was born 14 days before me on February 10. We've always been inseperable, and we were always there for each other no matter what; which is why he's here with me right now.
My mom was away on a business trip, and being 17, I was aloud to be left home alone. I just didnt like it. So I called Theo and he agreed to come stay with me for the week that my mom was gone. My mom knew he was over, and she was okay with it. She trusted Theo, and loved him as if he were her own child.

I woke up the next morning and saw Theo fast asleep next to me with his arm draped around my waist. I remembered what happened last night, with my nightmare, and Theo coming to sleep next to me.
I wiggled out of his light grip, and sat up. I picked up my phone from my bedside table and took it off the charger. I checked the time and it read 5:58. In two minutes exactly, my alarm would go off signaling that it was time for me to wake up and get ready for the day. I turned it off before it would go off, and scrolled through my instagram feed. Not much was new really. Just a few quotes, shoutouts, pictures of food, and fandoms filling up my feed.
I got up out of bed when I was done, and opened my closet to find something to wear for the day. It was the middle of Spring, and not too hot today. I decided on a floral tank top, faded blue skinny jeans, and my white Converse. As I was walking to the bathroom with my clothes in one hand and my towel in the other, I heard Theo call my name.
