Once we got inside the school, Theo let go of me and walked me to my locker. "Theo, you dont have to wait for me. I dont want you to be late again," I said, opening my locker. "Nah its okay. We still have 7 minutes before class starts. I'll make it in time." Theo replied. "Alright fine. But if you're late then im really sorry," I said grabbing the last book I needed from my locker. "Addi, its fine. Now come on. I still have to get my  things." Theo said smiling and pulling my arm away so we could leave. I shut my locker and walked beside him.

We walked to the other side of the school just to get to his locker. By the time we got there, we had 3 more minutes till class started. Theo quickly grabbed his books and shut his locker. Luckily, we had first period together in Mr. Olson class, which wasn't so bad, because Mr. Olson wasn't so strict compared to the other teachers in our school. If we were a little bit late, then I dont think he would mind that much.

When we walked into class, the bell rung telling us that class has now started. Everyone took their seats and stopped talking, just as Theo and I found a seat together. Mr. Olson started calling role, and I looked over at Theo who was shaking his leg up and down, and wiggling his pencil between his fingers. I looked around the room at the other kids and saw Stella Mason looking at Theo. I looked back to Theo and he was smiling his perfect little smile, showing off his sparkling white teeth. I dont know what it was about Stella looking at Theo, and him smiling back at her, but I felt a hint of jealousy.

"Addison Carter," Mr. Olson called, when he got to my name for attendance. "Here!" I called. I saw him mark down something on his computer and continued to call out names. When he got to Theo, I looked at him. I saw him texting someone underneath the desk, and i rolled my eyes. "Theo..." I whispered. He looked up and mouthed 'what'. "Theo im not going to cover for you this time if you get caught. I nearly got detention when I did it last time." I whispered to him. "Shh Addi its fine.. i won't get caught," Theo said, with confidence rolling right off his tongue. "But what if-" I started. "Ms. Carter, is there something you wanted to say?" Mr. Olson said from the front of the room. Soon, all eyes were on me and I wasn't sure what to do. "uh- um.. No. No, im sorry.." I said stuttering. "Good. So, may I continue on with my lesson?" Mr. Olson said, bringing one eyebrow up. "Yes sir." I said. "Alright then. Be careful Ms. Carter, next time I catch you interrupting my class, you'll get detention, understand?" I nodded my head up and down, and Mr. Olson continued his lesson.

People stopped looking and eventually the class was back to normal. I took in a deep breath and exhaled to help me focus more, and to calm down from that embarrassing event that just happened. I looked over at Theo who was laughing at me and hunched up in his desk a little bit. "Shut uppp!" I said, crossing my arms on my desk and putting my head down. "Oh come on Addi. It was funny!" Theo said poking me in the rib. I didnt say anything and ignored him the rest of the class period.

When the bell rung, and class was over, I picked up my books and walked out of the classroom. Right when I walked out the door and into the crowded hallway, I felt two long arms snake around my waist. I turned my head and looked at the body connected to the arms that were holding me tight. There he was, the most popular guy in school, one of the hottest, and also my best friend. "Hey," Theo said nuzzling his face into the crook of my neck. "Hi.." I struggled to say as I wiggled out of his strong grip. "Im sorry for laughing at you in class. I couldn't help but laugh at the terrified look on your face." Theo told me as I walked to my next class. Theo had a different class than I did for second and third period, but he walked me to my second period class everyday. Theo had Science, and I had AP Math which was in the next building.

After Theo walked me to my class, he left right after and went straight to his class. I looked around to see if any of my friends were there yet, and saw my friend Talia standing in the middle of the rows talking to her boyfriend Cameron. Talia saw me coming over towards her and waved. Cameron turned around and saw me too. He smiled at me, turned around to kiss Talia on the cheek and left. "Hey!" Talia said giving me a hug. She was always so happy after being with Cameron, even if it was just for a little while. Im glad he makes her happy, she deserves a good boyfriend after her last one cheated on her. It took her a while to trust guys again after that, and then Cam came and changed everything for her.

"Hey," I said smiling at her. "So guess what Cameron asked me yesterday?" She said bouncing up and down a little. "Hmm?" I asked putting my books down on the desk next to me. "HE ASKED ME TO PROM!" She squealed. "Talia oh my god! Im so happy for you!" I said giving my best friend another hug. Prom. I havent even thought about that yet. I completely forgot that its almost the end of the year. This whole year has just gone by so fast, wow. "How'd he ask you?" I asked her, suddenly gaining interest in the conversation. "Well, I got this text after school from him, saying to meet him at the schools auditorium. So I went down there, and everything was dark, except the aisle going down the middle of the auditorium. There were little candles lighting up the aisle going all the way down, and rose petals making a pathway down to the stage. When I got to the bottom of the aisle right below the stage, the curtains on the stage opened and in big lit up letters read the words 'PROM?' and Cameron standing right in the middle of the stage, surrounded with red rose petals on the floor, and holding a single light pink rose in his hand. I dropped my bag on the floor and ran up the stage to him. I ran right into his arms and he just held me there for what seemed like forever. Then he whispered in my ear, 'so is that a yes?' and obviously, I said yes." She said, telling the story like she was reading it off a book. "Aw Tal, im so happy for you!" I gushed. "Thanks. So what about you? Any idea who you're gonna go to prom with?" Talia asked me. "Um.. I dont really-" Just as I was about to answer her, the bell went off and we both took out seats.

After class, Talia and I went our separate ways, and I started heading to Social Studies. Nothing really happened in that class; nothing ever happens in that class. Once that class was finally over though, it was time for lunch. I went straight to the lunch tables where Talia and Kristine were already sitting. "Hey guys," I said once I sat down. "Hey" Talia and Kristine said together. We all talked about our day, and the usual gossip until evetually Andrea, Grace, and Alexi came and sat with us too. Talia told everyone the story of her and Cameron going to prom together, as I zoned out.

I came back to reality when someone tapped my shoulder. I thought it was one of the girls trying to get my attention, but to my surprise it was actually Theo. "Hey," He said to me. "Hi." I replied. I scooted over so he could sit, but he denied it. "I just wanted to say that I cant drop you off at home today. I have a science project i have to finish with Ashton later. Is it okay if you just walk home? It's only for today, I swear." Theo said, seeming unsure of himself. "Yeah, sure, its fine. So you'll just meet me at home later, then?" I asked, looking up at him. "Definitely," Theo said smiling and looking less guilty than he did earlier while asking. "Alright, well you can go back and sit with your friends haha, by the way, they're looking at us," I said pointing at the group of boys staring at Theo and I winking, and saying things like 'ooohhh get some'. Theo rolled his eyes and left to go back to them.

When I turned back to my friends, they were all talking about Prom. "So Addison, who are you going to Prom with?" Talia asked. "Ohh are you going with Theo?" Andrea chimed in. "Did Theo ask you to Prom?!" Alexi gasped. "Oh my god Addi you didnt tell us?!" Kristine yelled waving her arms in the air. "GUYS. IM NOT GOING TO PROM WITH ANYONE YET." I said sternly. "Oh.." They all said in unison.

After lunch, I went to my science class, and then elective. I was a TA in the office so I didn't do much but write up papers and bring passes to kids in their classes. After school, I went to my locker and got all my things. As I closed my locker, I remembered that Theo wasn't bringing me home today. I walked through the crowded hallway filled with scurrying teenagers and evetually managed to get out the doors. What I saw when I got outside was probably one of the worst things I could potentially see at the moment. Rain. 'Well thanks Washington, thats exactly what I need right now.' I thought to myself as I walked into the rain, and onto the streets by myself. Luckily, I had an extra jacket in my backpack.

When I got home, I took off my wet jacket, and soaked shoes that I used to step into 3 puddles on the way home. Great  I thought as I picked up my wet Converse off the floor and put them in the closet. I walked upstairs and took out some fresh new clothes from my closet and decided just to wear sweats and a tank top. I brought them to the bathroom and peeled the wet clothes off my body. I started the shower and stepped into the hot water.

After my shower, I put my towel on and dried my entire body and hair as best as I could. I pulled on my dry clothes and went back to my room. I checked the time and it read 4:32 PM. Theo probably wouldn't be home till later, so I decided to read my book. I was re-reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green for like the millionth time ever, when I started to fall asleep. I tried to keep my eyes open but fell asleep to the words of Augustus Waters saying, "oh, im grand".
