More Than This

Chapter 6

《Theo's POV》

I stayed the rest of the night at Addison's house, cuddled up in her blankets with her laying on my chest as we watched movies until she was able to fall asleep again.

For a while I just watched her; snuggled up in my arms, her breathing steady, strands of hair loose on her face. She looked so calm, so peaceful. I wonder what caused her nightmares? I wonder what they were about? She never told me what it was fully about, only bits and pieces. She always seemed so traumatized after a bad dream like that, and I didnt want to press on her emotions.

By around 5:00 AM I was able to fall back to sleep again. I didn't bother to turn the T.V. off because I was way too comfortable in the position I was in. Sure I may have a stiff neck when I wake up, but it's worth it because I have Addison with me, and I know that she's safe.

At around 10:00 AM, I woke up to the sound of rain hitting the window. I looked down and saw Addisons head on my chest and her small hands near it.

I smiled a little at the sight, and then moved away the hair covering her eyes. She shuffled beneath me and slowly her eyes opened up.

"Why are you staring at me?" She mumbled against my chest. "Because you're beautiful." I said with a sly smirk.

"I cannot believe you just used that line from Fault. Thats actually a lot creepier when you  do it rather than Augustus." She laughed, rolling her eyes.

"Oh please, im way more attractive than Ansel Elgort. Anybody can see that," I smiled, then winked.

"Ha! Sure you are, idiot." Addi said, sitting up and then getting off the bed.

"Oh please, you love this idiot." I called after her, giving her a cheeky smile.

"Eh mayyyybeee..." She said turning around and sticking her tongue out at me.

I laughed as she walked to her dresser and got some clothes out. She then pulled open the very bottom drawer and pulled out a plain black t-shirt and chucked it at me.

"Put a shirt on, ya nasty." She said winking at me.

Addi had a drawer specially for me, because I tend to leave things here a lot, and its also convenient for when I randomly sleep over.

I got up and walk towards the door, shirt in hand. "Where are you going?" Addison asked.

"To the bathroom. Im gonna take a shower." I said as I walked out.

"Theo I was about to take a shower! Theo. Theo!" I heard her call after me as I walked into the bathroom and closed the door, locking it right after.

I turned the shower on and took my clothes off. I stepped into the warm water and closed the curtain.

After I finished shampooing my hair and washed the soap off my body, I turned the water off and stepped out of the tub.

I looked around for my towel, then realized that I hadn't brought one into the bathroom with me. Crap.

I walked to the door and opened it just wide enough for my head to fit through. "Hey Addi..?" I called.

Moments later I heard light footsteps coming towards the bathroom and a tired but perfect Addison come into view.

"Yeah?" She asked. "Can you please get me a towel...? I may have forgotten to grab one on my way to the bathroom..." I smiled a genuine smile in hopes that she could get me one.

"See I would..." She started to say. "But Im so soo hungry." She smirked and winked. I watched as she turned her back on me and slowly walked away.

"Addison I swear to you, I will walk out butt naked and give you a hug." I threatened.

"Oh please, you wouldn't dare. I know you Theo and you-" She started, still walking away but slower than before.

Before she could end her sentence, I pulled on my old underwear (yes its unsanitary. no I dont care) and ran after Addison. She turned around just as I was about to run into her.

"THEO!" She screamed as I threw her over my shoulder. "YOU CAN'T KEEP DOING THIS TO ME! YOU PROMISED!" She yelled at me while pounding on my back with her oh so small fists.

Oh right...

I gently put her down on the floor and she smoothed her hair. "Sorry Addi," I said. "I forgot.." I said looking down and biting my lip.

"Obviously." She said calmly. She turns and goes back to her room and closes the door. I cant tell if she's mad at me or not so I just go to the linen closet and get a towel.

Im not as wet as I was earlier but my hair was still dripping. I rubbed the towel around my hair and messily ran my fingers through it. I threw on the shirt Addi gave to me and walked out of the bathroom.

When I opened the door to Addisons room, I saw her laying on her stomach propped up on her elbows on the bed, using her phone.

She didn't seem to notice me so I dropped the towel and old clothes I was holding and ran to the bed. I layed down on top of her and wrapped my arms around her neck, basically giving her a hug.

I buried my head in the crook of her neck, something she usually does to me. I felt her head fall onto the pillow in front of her and her elbows coming down too.

"Addiiii," I said into her neck. "Theoooo," She mumbled into the pillow. "Are you mad at me?" I asked, sounding like a small child. "No, Theo." Addi said, pulling her head up. "Good." I said, holding her tighter.

"I love you Addi. I will always always always love you." I said, inhaling her sweet scent. "I love you too, Theo. Forever." She said, turning her head around and poking my cheek.

《Addison's POV》

"So, what are we gonna do today? Saying as it's our last day before my parents get home tomorrow." I asked Theo while we were cleaning up the dishes from our lunch.

"Umm..." He thought to himself while grabbing the last plate from the table and placing it into the dishwasher. "Oh! I know." He says.

"You know what?" I ask, walking over to the couch and sitting down, with Theo right behind me. "I know where im taking you for the day." He casually states, then plops down onto the couch next to me.

"Okay, where then?" I ask. "Somewhere." Theo says as he takes the remote and flips through different channels. "Theo." I said, frustration clear in my voice.

"Its a surprise Addi. All you need to know, is that we're leaving in-" He begins then checks his phone for the time. "Two hours. Also, wear something.. Warm." Theo says, getting up from the couch and extending his hand for me to grab.

"Im going to go home and change, get money, and then I'll be back. Okay?" He says. "Okay." I reply. I watch as Theo leaves, and look over what he's wearing. Hes had the same black t-shirt on from this morning but threw on some sweats he left here a while ago.

I wave to him when he steps out the door and leaves. I lock the door and walk upstairs. 

I go over to my closet and pull out a cream oversized sweatshirt, black leggings, and my underwear.

I go to the bathroom and take a quick shower then dry my hair. I put on the outfit then plug my straightener in.

When the straightener heats up, I straighten my thick black hair, then apply mascara to my eyes.

I look at the time and it said 2:13, and Theo was supposed to be here around 2:30. 15 minutes to just relax. I pull on my socks and then slip into my black Doc Martens.

I grabbed my purse that held my phone, earbuds, wallet, keys, and EOS. (Typical.) Then I headed downstairs to wait for Theo.

I sat on the couch and watched Doctor Who for a bit while waiting, until I heard a knock on the door.

I turned off the TV and got up to get the door. "Hey," I said giving Theo a hug. "Ready?" He asked me. "Yeah." I replied, then walked out the front door, locking it behind me.
