"M.&.Ms. Is. The. Best!" I said it slowly and firmly, looking straight in thr blue eyes that stared back at me with the same firmness and determination.
"Skit.tles. Is. The. Best!" Jace argues back, breaking the word 'skittles' like I did with 'M&Ms'.
"M&Ms." I was having this extremely bad urge to scream, but we were in the store and I'd not like being embarrassed.
"Skittles!" Jace argued and stompled his foot for extra emphasis.
"Stop it you both." Amelia pushed us apart but I was not ready to break the staring contest and be the loser. "Here, your m&ms, El." She handed me a box of small m&m packets. "And your skittles." She shoved a similar box in Jace's hands.
We both rolled our eyes at each other and placed these boxes in the cart.
As we walked down the aisle, I saw a section of various types of cupcakes and muffins.
I, immediately, walked towards that section like a magnetic attraction took place.
I was deciding between red velvet cupcakes and chocolate cupcakes with chocolate fillings. I mean, come on. There's no competition for chocolate. And chocolate cupcakes? With chocolate fillings? There's no way I could resist that. So I took the chocolate ones, saying a sad bye to the red velvet cupcakes.
I was a happy girl with a box of such awesomeness in my hands. When I saw chocolate cookies.
I stopped and contemplated. I kept thinking. But I couldn't decide. I should probably take them too.
And so I did.
You cannot simply resist cookies. Cookies are always way more special than anything in the world.
But I couldn't reach the shelf where they were placed. It was a disadvantage being a short girl.
Grunting, I looked around for the helpers to ask them, but saw no one.
"Let me help you." A thick voice said from behind me and I turned to see a tall boy, who looked my age, with his arm extended upward, taking the box for me.
"Here you go." He turned around to hand the box to me, and that's when I saw his looks.
His British accent was swoon worthy. His sharp grey eyes were like another dimension in itself and his perfectly midnight dark black hair were combed in a style.
I was internally swooning at him. He was hot.
Sure be didn't compare to a boy that would have blue eyes and brown hair, but he was good in his own way.
But boys with blue eyes and brown hair had a quiet different charm.
But wait, why am I thinking like this? I never did comparisons. And blue eyes nas brown hair? That purely described Jace. Was I comparing this person in front of me and Jace? But why would I compare? And that to with Jace out of all boys?
