I stretched and a groan and whine came from each of my sides. Opening one eye I saw Amelia's head slipping from the head board to lying straight on the bed and that my hand hit Jace on the face, to which he groaned.

"If this is how you're gonna wake me up, we better sleep at a distance after we are together." He groaned as he sat up fully and I froze, looking at him with wide eyes. He paused, his hand to his eye, scrstching because we just woke up. The other eye, which was towards me, widened as he glanced here and there.

I cleared my throat and reached over Amelia's side of the bed towards the bedside table for the glass of water.

I'm pretty sure he said that without a thought as a joke. He didn't mean it, did he?

But the words said without a thought are most of the time true. That's what is said. Unconsciously slipping words without a thought are true.

But then that means Jace thinks about this type of stuff and this thought unnerved me. Does that mean, he thought of me? And the scenario he mentioned? Was that what was going through his head about me and him?

I shrugged the thought off and stood up, heading towards the washroom.

When I walked out, I saw Jace tucking in a now very comfortable Amelia. She looked peaceful and Jace made sure the blanket is according to her liking.

This soft brother side of Jace was new to me. He looked carefree for most of the time.

After he was done, he stood up straight and noticed me standing there looking at him.

"Oh. You're back." He blushed and scratched the back of his head.

"That was super sweet." I grin; and made the redness more prominent on his nose.

"Eh." He shrugged.

"You and blushing is cute." At this, he rolled his eyes and turned around, flicking the lamp on Amelia's bedside table off.

We both walked out and he closed the door to the room softly.

"Why do I never see Alexander?" I asked as we walk towards the living room.

Alexander was their brother but he was a university student and stayed away most of the time. I saw him once and that was when I had shifted and he was there for vacation.

"You know he is in university. He's away. And we have less contact. The most he talks to is mom. And that is frequently. And Amelia too. He loves his younger sister. With me; we spam each other with messages when one is awake and the other is offline or busy." He chuckled and I smiled at the bonding of these siblings.

"Aw. That is so cute." I smile at him and he shrugged.

We sat beside each other on the long couch and a comfortable silence takes place.

I cleared my throat and looked at Jace. He was already looking at me from the corner of his eye and when he saw me turn, he averted his gaze.

"I wanted to talk to you about Ariana and Castiel." I started.

"Oh yes. About them. What do you have in mind?" He turned his body towards me.

"Ariana's mom and mine have become great friends and she might call their family for family get together on Christmas I guess? Is your family gonna call Castiel?" I looked at him and he looked deep in thought.

"Yes. We do call them. You're not thinking what I'm thinking, right?" His eyes widened.

"What are you thinking?"

"We can make them talk because we can call them here." He responded simply.

"Yes. Exactly!" I exclaimed.

"Okay but we can't do that during the get together." I pointed out after a while.

He hummed in response and we both became silent again. His entire body on the couch was facing me and I was sitting straight.

"I have an idea!" He suddenly exclaimed.

"And that is?" I raised my brow.
