I searched the deepest, darkest corner of my closet and found some pajamas. Something my parents had sent me from another country. I pulled the hanger out and looked at the clothes. I let out a gentle sigh as I put the clothes on. They were cotton shorts that were a light purple and came down to about mid-thigh. The top was the same color but it was a button up, long sleeve top that had black stars across it. I paused for a moment and looked at myself in the mirror. I took my brush and properly brushed my hair into place, parting it for my bangs. I put the brush down and a knock came to the door.

"Oi! I know I told you to be like a girl but I didn't mean you had to take as long as one." Aomine complained from the other side of the door.

"Ok! I'm coming. Just... don't laugh." I warned as I opened the door and stepped into the hallway.

Aomine was leaning against the door frame outside. His eyes looked me over continuously and I crossed my arms over my stomach. He didn't say a word and just walked into the living room, opening the fridge and this time pulling two pudding cups out of the fridge. He sat on the couch and I sat beside him. I took one of the cups and spoons and began eating it. Aomine turned on the tv, leaving it on whatever channel it was already on. I finished my pudding cup, sitting it on the table next to his.

"So..." I spoke softly.

"What?" Aomine asked nonchalantly.

I looked up at him, "You're not going to say anything? You tell me to be like a girl but then don't say anything."

Aomine glanced at me from the corner of his eye, "Well it's been five minutes and you're not dead yet."

I let out a soft chuckle in response. I crossed my legs on the couch and grabbed the remote, putting it on the sports channel. Aomine glared at me a bit.

"If I'm gonna do this it's gonna be my way and slow. Piece by piece." I explained.

Aomine stood up, "I can't live off of pudding cups. I'm starving. I'm going to bring take out." he said and then walked out of the door without another word.

I nodded and waved as he left out of the door. I went and picked up my bag from by the door and then sat back on the couch. I pulled out a textbook and some paper to begin some school work. After some time I was knee deep in work, currently doing some math when there was a knock on the door.

I got up and opened the door, "Took you long enough Aomine." I said before I even look at who it was.

"Um... Are you ok?"

My eyes snapped wide open when I realized that the voice wasn't Aomine's. I turned my head slowly to look at the male standing at my door. Kagami stood there and his eyes held some emotion that I couldn't decipher. Maybe it was a mix of emotions and that's why I was having trouble.

"Kagami?" I asked a bit softly as I placed my hands on my hips curiously, "What're you doing here?"

Kagami snapped from his thoughts when I started talking, "I came to um... well... you know what. Nevermind. I think I should just go."

I shook my head and grabbed his arm, "Don't tell me you're afraid of something Kagami. What's got you so worked up that you're gonna turn back from coming all the way out here?"

Kagami's arm tensed under my touch, "It's just... your clothes. They um... they're new."

I finally let what he was saying sink in. "O-oh! I just figured I'd try something new is all." I shrugged my shoulders as I let go of his arm. "But what did you need?"

Kagami scratched the back of his neck as he turned to look away from me. "Well see... About this ball Saturday. I just thought maybe we could you know... go together. I-I mean not like a date or anything! I mean we can bring Kuroko too but we don't have to. B-but that's if you wanna go."

My face went blank for about a minute and I grinned a bit, letting out a soft laugh, "I don't mean to laugh but you were so nervous about it. What? Did you think that I would hate you for asking or something? I mean I've got to decide if I really wanna go. But next time man up and just ask me on a date next time. Bye Kagami." I said and then shut the door, going back to my seat on the couch.

I put away my work and let out a sigh of exhaustion as my stomach growled. No more than 10 seconds later did Aomine open the door. He closed it with his foot and set the food on the table. He unpacked the food and handed me a plate, and one for himself. Once we started eating, Aomine took a bite before turning his gaze to me.

"What did Kagami want?" he asked.

It was like Aomine had a sixth sense or something. "How'd you-"

"I passed him by outside. Figured the only reason he'd be on this side of town was paying you a visit. Honestly, I'm glad it's not Midorima. Now, what'd he want?" Aomine asked.

I sighed and searched through my bag, finding the flyer in my bag and handing it to him. I started eating my plate as he silently read the flyer. He threw the paper onto the table and we continued to eat while a basketball game played on the tv. I finished my plate and Aomine was moving on to finish his second one. I sighed and relaxed against the couch.

Aomine sighed loudly, "I think you should go. But in a dress."

I laughed, "You're funny. If I decided to go then I'd definitely not wear a dress."

"I'll buy your dress," Aomine said normally like it didn't matter.

"Seriously? Any dress I want just so I can go to some stupid ball?"

Aomine turned his head to look at me, "I couldn't care less about you going on a date with Kagami to a ball. But it's a reason for you to be like a girl for a whole night. In front of people. And of course, have an excuse to beat Kagami if he tries to make a move on you."

My cheeks turned a light shade of red, "I doubt he'd do that. But I'll decide if I wanna go tomorrow. For now, I just wanna relax." I said as I laid down, resting my head on his lap.

So Kana just sort of fell asleep on my lap, again. I ran her hair through my fingers, feeling exhausted from all of the arguing. How could she ever be so stubborn? I knew from the start she wasn't a guy. And so I took it upon myself to make her my little sister. But she just wouldn't accept it. Maybe now I can help her. Sure I don't say it a lot but she does mean a lot to me. I just want to make sure she knows who she really is. I don't want her confused about her own life anymore. And I want her to be happy. Even if it's with one of those sorry excuses that's fawning over her. I'm glad to be the one to help her out.

This chapter is possibly short but I wanted to update and this had definitely been itching in the back of my head. Glad to bring it into existence. Feedback is great by the way. Good or bad.
