I was getting ready to leave. I stuffed my earplugs and phone into my bag before a voice yelled from downstairs "Shard! Come fast" "I'll be down in two" I yelled back "Since when have I allowed yelling in this household" Mom yelled angrily"Now get dow-"

"Coming!  Sheesh!" I yelled and ran downstairs, Mom and dad were packing a hawk for a snack. I smiled at them "Hey kiddo" dad said "Ya ready?" "Ready as I'll ever be" I replied "though i'll miss you guys" they both looked at me and hugged me."Hey there! You can still contact us on skype!" Dad said still hugging me, I smirked "Ima gonna bother you guys every night" I said sheepishly maintaining my smirk, dad smirked back. "Sureeeeee" mom replied sarcastically

Time skip!!!!

We reached jade mountain, it was quite far from the rainforest. I looked at my mom and dad for the last time and hugged them "See you guys" I said before mom kissed me on the cheek. They said their goodbyes as I entered the school.Whoa I thought as I walked through the halls and bumped into a cheerful nightwing "Hello there! I'm fatespeaker! Your shard right?" She asked, "Yes" I mumbled, "Well your dorm is two hallways to the right and one hallway to the left! The fourth cave" she replied handing me a map and running off. I sighed,this was gonna be a loooonnnngggg day
