This was the day. Training was complete and we were ready. Today was the day that Levidia drew Rephaimic blood, today was the day the universe won independence from ancient foes of long ago. We were born ready for this task, hand bred and born with preprogrammed instincts, we are the Spiraux Legion.

"Yes sir" I turned, saluting captain Levionne.
"Take your legion to the armory, suit up and let's get ready to drink blood"
"Yes Sir" I turned facing my legion.
"Aes", "Yes sir" a tall broad legionnaire responded.
"Finyae" "Yes sir" the small lean women called.
"Ulese" "Yes sir" a large dark muscular woman chanted.

All of our gear was cutting edge technology, much was classified or a functioning prototype.
First was our non-newtonian under armor which was flexible but impact resistant. It had attachments for the electroplate pads. These harnessed the energy of laser hits and converted it to electrical currents used to charge shields and weapons. Excess energy was dissipated into the atmosphere. These were installed by a machine once the under armor was in place.
The iconic Levidian helmet was then placed, it featured a dragon head design and came with built-in drone connection and 360 view HUD along with spinal connection. With this, we could see in all directions along with what our 3 drones could see. The spinal link performed calculations on targets and oncoming projectiles and fed signals directly to our spine to create fine-tuned reactions increasing aim and evasion.
The drone hub was placed on the left arm and controlled by finger movements and neural commands. Drone cameras fed data into the helmet, data such as camera feeds, recording of sound and 3D triangulating for measuring distance and exact location, further increasing aim and visual information.
We were then issued Echoes. Echoes analyze sound frequencies and create antiwaves cancel any sounds made by the legionnaires.
The machine had finished mounting our gear, and we were ready to grab some firearms.
All of us were equipped with the same gear. Stealth and surprise would be our key.
Main weapon, lovingly named Leviathan. Ready to fire a large of array of bullets types. Incendiary, Vorsica, Standard, Shotgun and Shotgun incendiary.
We then received our last three weapons. Vorsic grenades which threw out magnetic trailing shrapnel, good for blocking off halls. Then Validen grenades, they supercharge their validen core to produce a gravity well.
Levionne performed a mission briefing and we boarded the RK-Raz. The RK-Raz was a one of a kind ship. Rephaim Targon let one person live on many occasions, to his downfall we collected the accounts of these survivors and created a ship specifically designed to outmaneuver all of the Rephaim's tactics.
The plan was as follows, the RK-Raz would move into position and be captured by the Synthient which would grab on to the top of the RK-Raz. The Synthient will usually grab on to the ship in order to drain the ship's power and create a boarding point for the Rephaim. Once it grabbed on the troops would all exit the RK-Raz and board the outside of the Synthient and wait. At this point, a laser array would blast into the Synthients underbelly hopefully damaging the Synthient and forcing it to back up. It was noted that Synthients often were able to absorb energy from enemy weapons, but it had to be back and away to give time to harness it. As soon as it did the RK-Raz would cease fire and fly away to distract the Synthient.
The troops would attempt to board the Synthient through its underbelly. From here it was uncertain. This would be new territory.
The RK-Raz was packed and we boarded. The trip was light-hearted, but as we approached the Synthient it became silent. We had ignored how grim our chances were against the Rephaim. If anyone accomplished the task, it would be us. And we had not known a Rephaims location for several years, today was the day. But nothing could shake fear inside the ship.
