All of the top commanders within the Kroto Rebellion gathered here today. They waited to see the fruit of their labor fulfilled. The Dagonian Empire was on its knees. The last of its empire survived inside the two largest vessels in the galaxy, Sol 1 and 2. They were surrounded by the greatest the Rebellion had to throw. Over a million troops, dozens of Hyperions along with the various other assault vehicles that littered the ground. They worked together to prevent the mass of Dagonian citizens from entering the vessels. Though comparatively smaller, many Ryzons sat outside the atmosphere waiting to destroy the Void Class Couriers should they take off.
Within the hour the Dagonian Empire would be lost forever, their legacy rewrote by the victors. But Krahn had separate plans. The rebellion was created to give power back to the DeMorean Causeway, replacing one dictatorship with another would never do. Both sides must die to truly give back the power. Krahn quietly left his council of generals, was he ready? All the pain he had suffered, the men that died by his side. General Kross, beheaded by the hands of the Dagonians. Arbiter Kroson, rotting away in Asteroth. In a way, it seemed that it was all for not, a lost cause. Then he remembered the crimes of the Dagonians, the enslavement of cultures. The manipulation that they practiced on him. He glanced down, his armored glove clutched the last memory of her, a burnt picture that he had with him during the invasion. They promised he would see his wife again. A lie fueled by the agendas of a corrupt nation. He also thought of the crimes of his own rebellion. The innocent lives lost, crushed between the cold gears of the war machine. Neither side deserved to live. Stealing one last look at the headquarter he built. A pillar of hope to many, and a symbol of death to yet more. The fog concealed his exit as he vanished into the pine forest.
He unstrapped his tablet and prepared to end it all. With the push of a button, the tables would turn. The rebellion would erupt in confusion as platoons turned against each other. His finger hovered, thoughts flooded his head once again.
He forcefully slammed the button ending all of the thoughts. A live feed of the inside of Sol II would appear in the war room. The feed would contained a faked scene of Arbiter Kroson held hostage on the ship. The Arbiter had been Krahns right hand since the start. His death struck at the heart of the rebellion, many within the ranks could not handle seeing him die again.
He watched a feed of the war room. The room erupted as older seasoned general fought to call the attack off. Younger generals knew what was at stake. Ground troops began to fire at the ship in a desperate attempt to destroy it before orders changed. Ryzon Captains who had worked beside Kroson rained down on attacking Hyperions.
Within the war room, weapons were drawn and generals massacred each other. With the push of a button the rebellion erupted in a mass of chaos. Krahn waited for the one who called himself "Void Walker". A strange scent filled the air and it grew cold. Suddenly a black smoke began escaping from a spot in the air. The smoke grew thick and a strong breeze picked up, Krahn braced himself as the Void Walker appeared. Krahn had seen before, but nonetheless, he was filled with fear each time. The Void Walker stood at least seven feet tall. He wore a spindly frame. His arms much thinner than Krahns. The Void Walker had horns from his head like those of an insect, a single glowing eye showed no expression, no visual cues, no mouth to smile or frown, his emotions concealed behind an iron mask. A large black cape trailed behind him. At first he seemed to be burning as he exited the rift. But the flames did not consume him.
"Is it time?" the figure asked. "I am ready" Krahn Replied. "Time is not forever. Your future is ready." The figure gestured to the billowing rift. The hairs bristled on his neck as he stepped foot into the rift.
"KRAHN!" The voice sliced the cold air. Krahn glanced back to see General Kope, blood gushed from his gut as he clutched his stomach. The figure fell to his knees. "Krahn!"
"You weren't supposed to be there!" Krahn yelled as he frantically tried to leave the rift.
"It is Time" The Void Walker yelled in an ethereal voice as he shoved Krahn into the rift.
The void closed behind him.
"You are not the destiny" the Void Walker said lifting his hand.
Two dark shadow like creatures emerged from the cold soil. Their bodies were black and translucent, pearlescent shards levitated within their bodies. The Void Walker turned his hand and the two beasts gave chase, now resembling smoke more than a shadow.
"Please No!" Kope yelled, he tried to get up, but the beasts were too fast, they began to rip him apart. Kope grabbed a stick to try and keep them at bay, but the stick passed through them. Kope screamed as the beasts ripped him apart. The screaming stopped as the beasts pulled him into the ground. Nothing remained but warm red soil. The Void Walker disappeared just as he had appeared.
Krahn floated in nothingness, the air was frigid and he could see nothing. He heard nothing. Krahn began to gasp for air, but there was none. Had the Void Walker dumped him space? He flailed trying to grab anything. Then a stream of light poured into the darkness. The Void Walker appeared and they disappeared into another shaft of light.
"What did you do to him!?" Krahn yelled.
"He was not in the destiny. You must remember that you already lost them. Where you go, all are lost already. Only we are in the destiny."
Krahn understood. He knew what he left behind when he did this. A hundred years, a thousand years? No one will be there when he awoke. Still, he was filled with pain and regret.
Krahn entered the Cryo unit and gave the Void Walker one last look.
"This is your destiny" The figure droned.
"One question" Krahn asked.
The figure gave a nod ever so slightly.
"Who are you really?""Thanatis, Life, Death, and the other side"
With that, the door closed. Krahn was overcome by an icy chill, and sleep overtook him."The destiny of mortals has been altered. The universe hangs in unknown fate. It is now uncertain how things will end."
