Melanie stood there speechless as she heard those words come out of her mouth.  She hadn't meant to tell him at all, but now that she was here with him, for some reason, she couldn't help herself.  Now she wished that she had taken them back.  Now it was Anthony's turn to stare.  He knew that something had been bothering Melanie since they first crossed paths.  Whatever she was going to tell him, he had not expected that.  He cleared his throat stepping back from her.  "Y..  You're what now?"  Melanie watched him staying quiet as he was letting everything sink in.  Becoming afraid of how he was going to react.

"How long have you known Melanie!"  He growled suddenly making her jump.  She took a deep breath.  "I, I just found out!"  She muttered, hearing her voice squeak a bit due to nerves.  She wasn't sure how his reaction would be, but she didn't think it would be that.  Anthony began to pace back and forth.  He knew he shouldn't of snapped at her, and asked her.  Put blame on her.  But just knowing her for only the last month, he knew how she already worked.  "This can't be happening."  He mumbled.  "How could this be happening."  Melanie kept her eyes on him.  Perhaps this would be easier than she thought it would.  If Anthony didn't want the child either, then they could work in getting the baby adopted together.  Melanie cleared her throat hearing his last question.  "Well um.."

Anthony stopped pacing hearing Melanie speak, and gave her a glare.  "I know how it happened Mel!"  Melanie bit her lip as she watched him.  Remaining quiet as she wasn't sure what she should say, or if she should say anything at all.  Melanie slowly approached Anthony placing a hand on his arm.  "Look Anthony, I already have it figured out.  You don't have to worry about anything.  I, I know that we both aren't ready, for this.  Besides we aren't really even considered exclusive.  Or together at all for that matter.  You don't have to worry about any of this ruining your life, because I am going to work with getting the baby to an adoption agency and make sure that he or she gets into a nice home."  She rambled quickly.  What am I doing?  She thought.  This wasn't what she planned to do at all.  Why had she come here and told him?  She had it all figured out, until she came here, then everything just decided to unravel.

Hearing this, Anthony looked even angrier.  "You're going to do what!"  Melanie jumped again.  "Anthony, I can't do this."  She shook her head.  "I am not exactly set out to be the motherly type."  It wasn't quite true.  She had wanted to be a mother, she loved kids.  But she couldn't now.  Anthony kept his glare on Melanie.  "There is no way in hell I am going to let you give away my child!  And you won't be going through it alone.  I would be here to help you."  He said, making an attempt to calm down.  He was sure that this had to be just as difficult for Melanie right now as well.  He still didn't know what else had been going on with her.  But whatever she was going through still, this was surely adding even more stress for her.  He had to calm himself down so he could help be there for her, and calm her down too.  As he remained quiet a while longer however, he suddenly realized something.

"You weren't ever going to plan on telling me were you?  That's why you were gone for hours.  You were planning on going on a run.  But something changed your mind."  Melanie's face flushed.  How was he able to figure her out like that so fast?  She fidgeted nervously on the fact that he already seemed to be able to see right through her.  Melanie didn't like that at all.  She remained quiet as she was trying to figure out a way to explain.  "No Anthony, that..  That wasn't what I was going to do!"  Anthony stepped closer to Melanie and grabbed her arm a bit harder than he should've, not really meaning to.  But unfortunately, sometimes he let his anger take control, and sometimes it couldn't be stopped.  "Then what were you going to do!  And why don't you tell the truth for once?"  Melanie struggled to loosen his grip on her.  Suddenly having a hint of fear in her eyes of him.  She had never seen him act this way before.  The closest she'd seen was on their first date at the band, when he had learned she was a nurse.  She could feel tears start to form in her eyes.  This was a mistake, she shouldn't of come here.  How could it possibly be that Victoria and Levi thought they could make a good match?  "I..  I can't.  I'm sorry.... I have to go."  She whispered.  She managed to loosen Anthony's grip to leave, but not for long before he caught her arm again.

"You're not going anywhere Mel."  He said in a dangerously low voice.  "Not until I know what is going on."  She glanced up at him trying to fight the tears.  She hated that she couldn't seem to stop crying recently, and appeared to be weak in front of everyone.  "Please Anthony, I have to go."  She repeated.  "I..  I need some air."  She whispered.  She closed her eyes feeling a small wave of nausea hit her.  Not again!  She took a few deep breaths trying to ignore the feeling.  As she felt her body begin to sway, she tried to reach for Anthony for some support, but didn't quite get to him on time.  "You don't understand."  She mumbled as she felt her body start to make its way towards the floor.  Anthony was ready to speak when he noticed Melanie starting to sway and went to catch her before she hit the floor.  Finally snapping out of his mood when he saw what was happening.  Lifting her up into his arms, he felt her go limp before she suddenly grew unconscious.

While Melanie had been at Anthony's, Victoria was back at the house.  She had been rather worried about Melanie all week, and especially after seeing her coming out of the appointment.  She knew something was wrong, but Melanie wasn't telling her.  She glanced over at the clock.  Levi was still at work, and she was assuming that Melanie was still at Anthony's visiting with him, she figured she'd have plenty of time to do what she needed to do.

Victoria knew she shouldn't do this, that she should wait for Melanie to tell her what was going on.  But she couldn't.  She knew Melanie wasn't going to tell her, and Victoria needed to know.  She made her way into Melanie's room, opening the door and making a small glance around.  "Alright, now where to look first?"  Think like Melanie Victoria.  Victoria felt a little guilty spying on her friend, but she was doing this for her own good.  If Melanie would just tell you then you wouldn't have to snoop.  Victoria reasoned with herself.

Victoria slowly began to wander around and checked out any possible hiding spots that Melanie might be hiding something.  She had gotten so distracted that she didn't even hear Levi coming home early and calling her name.  She had just managed to turn her head towards Melanie's desk to see a half opened drawer with a piece of paper half hanging out.  This got her curiosity and she slowly made her way over towards the drawer.  She had just slowly opened it and had the piece of paper in her hand ready to unfold it, when she heard Levi's familiar voice call her name.  "Victoria!"  She gasped jumping back and dropping the piece of paper as she heard his angered tone.  It wasn't often that Levi had gotten mad at her.

Victoria looked up to see Levi rest his back against the doorway, and she could see anger in his eyes.  "Levi!"  She breathed heavily, not expecting to be caught.  "I..  I didn't hear you come in.  I thought you were still at work."  She muttered.  He crossed his arms across his chest keeping his glare on her.  Momentarily glancing at the paper that fell out of her hand and onto the floor.  "I have noticed."

He let out a small sigh.  "What are you doing in Melanie's room.?"  "I'm, just worried about her is all."  Levi shook his head.  "You shouldn't be in here Victoria.  This is Melanie's room, her room.  I know you're worried, that you want to help her.  And so am I..  I am sure whatever is going on, she will tell us when she's ready."  But Levi was one hundred percent sure that she would not.  It had been a full year that he and Victoria knew something more than just the accident had been going on.  And Melanie still had yet to say.  He was jus trying to get Victoria out of the room before Melanie walked in and got angry with her.  "What do you think would have happened if it was her who caught you in here instead of me?"

Victoria bit her lip.  "I know you're right.  Melanie is hiding something.  She has ever since Paul's death.  That we know.  But there is one thing I think you're wrong about.  I don't think she has any intentions on telling us."  She shook her head.  Levi walked further into the room and approached Victoria, wrapping his arms around her.  "I know.  Perhaps not.  In time I am sure things will unfold whether she wants them to or not.  But for now, we should get out."  He leaned forward giving her a kiss on her forehead.

She nodded glancing at Levi.  "Alright.  You're right.  I will be right out."  Levi nodded slowly letting go of her then took his exit.  Victoria glanced over to make sure he had left before bending over to pick up the paper.  She unfolded it quickly to scan the information and gasped.  Melanie is pregnant!  "Victoria!"  She heard Levi yell.  She jumped hearing him call after her.  She took a deep breath and quickly folded the paper back up as best as she could how Melanie had it, before putting it back in its spot where she found it.  "Coming!  I was just putting the stuff away!"  She yelled out before quickly exiting the room and closing the door behind her.
