Rose Mortimer:

I woke up the next morning in my bed. Dad or Damon probably carried me up here last night, I thought to myself as I got up and ready for school.

I walked down the stairs and little Alexander, the youngest of my siblings, ran straight into my arms.

"Help me Ro!" he yelled.

"He's gonna get me!" he hid behind my legs as I saw Kendyn walk in his hands out like he was about to catch someone.

"Ohh, Alex... Where are you?" he called out in a sweet voice only making Alex hold my legs tighter.

"It's not nice to traumatise children." I crossed my arms over my chest looking at a surprised Ken.

"Shhh, Rose. He can't know I'm here." Alex attempted to whisper but failed. I ruffled his blond locks smiling down at him.

"Don't worry I got this." I smiled back at him.

"No point continuing. He is under my protection." I held my head high making Kendyn only stalked closer to me as if I were is prey.

"Alex run!" I screeched as I tried running away too but sadly I wasn't fast enough.

"Got ya." his voice sent I shiver down my spine and his touch sent jolts of electricity in my body. I tried pulling away from his embrace with no luck.

"Stop moving about Mi Rosa." he huskily whispered in my ear leaving a kiss getting a whimper out of me.

"No baby making in my kitchen! I thought I made it clear with your brother!" my mum's voice broke us apart faster than the speed of light.

"We were doing that mum." I blushed bright red.

"Yes, Mrs Mortimer. I wouldn't do that to Rose. When I will it will be a lot more romantic, and I'll save the baby making for after the wedding." my mouth dropped open in disbelief at his confession. My mother smiled wiping her hands on a tea towel.

"That's what I like to hear. See Rose you should get yourself a real man, not like that Bradley dude." she grimaced saying his name.

"It's Bryan, and I don't want to talk about him." I could feel the knot in my chest form same as the tears in my eyes. I think Kendyn could sense that because he took my hand and lead me out of the kitchen not before telling my mum we had to leave for school.

"Hey, mi Rosa. Don't cry for that prick. He wouldn't know an angel even is she was in front of him with her wings. It's his loss, not yours." his deep voice made me feel comfortable and I buried my face in his chest putting my hands around him and behind his back. He stiffened up a little before giving into the hug.

"Thank you Kendyn," I whispered out swallowing the tears back. I pulled away to fall into a deep pool of chocolate.

Man, those eyes are something else.

I sobered up and took my eyes off his, casting them to my hands.

"Where are Damon and the rest of the boys?" I questioned not being able to look at him in the eyes.

"Ummm Damon took his car with Carter and Wolf, they left early and asked me to pick you up at the normal time." he rubbed the back of his neck looking down at me. I simply nodded taking my bag and heading out the door and into the car.

Arriving at school a stepped out of his car and cursed remembering that it was colder today being the idiot I am, I left the house in a short sleeve crop top.

I felt something heavy placed on my shoulders and I turned around seeing that Kendyn had placed his leather jacket on my shoulders.

I took it off missing the heat that it gave me and put my hand out shoving it to his chest.

"Take it back I'm fine." he took it only to place it back on my shoulders.

"No keep it, you're cold." I huffed putting the jacket on.

"What if you get cold?" I asked a little concerned.

"Mi Rosa, don't worry I won't get cold." I gave him a sceptical look before holding the jacket closer to me before walking off into school.

---------

"OH NO, YOU DIDN'T!" I heard Carrie's melodic voice from behind me.

"Is that his jacket?" she pointed at the jacket on my shoulders.

"It's Kendyn's. Yes." she shoved me really hard.

"You little minx! You're blushing! Is there something you are hiding from me?" she pushed. I shoved her back.

"No, I have nothing to hide. I was just cold so he passed me his jacket. Simple." I shrugged walking off to my next class that was next to Carrie's.

"Hey, buttercup," she called out stopping me.

"Yes, jelly bean?" I turned, leaning by the lockers near the door.

"There's a party tonight upper east side. You and I ARE going. No excuses." she sternly pointed at me.

"I'll come only if my dad and brothers let me and we both know that will not be easy." she huffed but nodded understanding the overprotectiveness of my family.

"I'll keep you posted." I hollered back entering my lesson.

This is going to be a long day...
