Like I had predicted the day dragged along, too long. All the teachers didn't seem to get the memo that it was Friday today and that we all had better things to do with our lives than stay in school longer than necessary.
I had kept Kendyn's jacket all day and I was glad because I was a little ice cub all day. However, since he was one of the 'popular' guys everybody knew that I had his jacket and let's just say that it added oil to the already burning fire of gossip around the school. I got nasty glares from a lot of the girls that crossed my path but I couldn't care less.
I told my brothers about the party and they were totally up for it, next step was convincing the king of the castle, my dad.
"But please daddy! The boys will be with me. Nothing bad could happen to me. Besides, I'm not going for my own pleasure, you know I'm not a party girl. I'm going to keep Carrie out of trouble." I pleaded, doing my best puppy dog eyes. What I was saying was true because I don't like parties.
I had my mum and the boys on my side and they were all giving him the same look. Even uncle Paul and Ray butted in much to my dad's dismay.
"Argh fine you can all go. " we all cheered in victory.
"But..." and there it is! We all groaned and waited for the rest of his sentence.
"But if there is the slightest feeling of danger or something you aren't comfortable with its straight home. All of you." he sternly said.
"Anyway, the boys will all be crying their guns, right boys." he turned his attention to my brother's that were going apart from Carter since he didn't want to mix with that sort of crowd or something like that, he has always been the silent one out of all of us.
"Yes, sir." they nodded.
"Guns? Seriously Asher? Is that really necessary, they are just going to dance." my mother reasoned but she was on a loser.
"That is my condition if not, none of them are leaving this house." they both crossed their arms over their chest.
"Fine. Go have fun and remember to keep your mind clear and make the right choices." my mum finally agreed to my father's conditions. We all jumped in my parents' arms thanking them, well apart from Kendyn who stood there waiting for us to move.
"I need to call Carrie!"
"No need buttercup I'm already here!" we both squealed and ran into each other's arms.
"Girls! My poor ears!" Paul whined. We both stuck our tongues at him before rushing up to my room to get ready.
"So girly what look at you going for?" Carrie's voice called out from my closer as I was sprawled out on my bed.
"Dunno? Joggers, one of Damon's hoodies and Kendyn's jacket?" I rolled on my stomach giving her a truthful answer.
"Ah nah! You ain't going in jeans young lady! You have a smoking body and there is no way in hell am I going to let you leave this house looking like the Virgin Mary."
I threw a pillow at her.
"But I am a Virgin Jellybean!" I retorted.
"Yes, but they don't need to know that. Buttercup you need to spread those wings and fly out of your comfort zone."
"Here let's make a deal. I'll pay for your lunch, whatever you want, for two, no make that three days and you wear whatever I chose you to wear without complaining. Deal?" I sat up and looked her dead in the eyes.
