"Its My Choice!" - Jugbead Adoptive Sister

When she says "Dad", she means FP. John and Mary are her birth parents.

My name is Y/n. I'm the adoptive sister of Jughead Jones. My parents abandoned me and I was left by myself until Jughead and his dad found out that I was living at Pop's so they took me in. Jughead and I are very close though. That was almost 6 years ago now.

We were in the trailer watching tv. There was a knock on the trailer door. Jughead got up. He opened the door. I heard muffled voices over the tv. Then Jughead called my name.

"Y/n. Its for you." He said with a blank face. A look of confusion painted my face. I got up and walked over to the door. I looked at who was at the door and my face paled and I froze.
My birth parents.

"No. No this can't be real.." I said, panicking. I collected myself and looked at them. "What do you want?" I asked bitterly.
"Honey we made a mistake. We realized after we left you that it was a mistake." John said. "Why didn't you come look for me?" I asked, folding my arms and stared at them gravely.

"We didn't know where you were." They shrugged. That's not very convincing.
"Why are you here?" I asked. "We want to take you home."

I scoffed. "You're kidding me right?! You-you abandonded me at 9 years old, I ended up living on the street for about 3 months and then I was taken in my two guys who became a better family to me than you guys ever were. So if you think that I will go home with you. Think again."

I went to close the door. "Think about it." Mary said.
I closed the door again. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

I felt a hand on my shoulder but I didn't look up. "Why now." I whispered, and I was pulled into someone's arms and it was my brother.

After I calmed down, we sat on the couch. "Its your choice. You can decide what to do." Dad said.

I sat in silence for the rest of the evening, thinking.

I wanted to speak to Archie, Betty and Veronica too. Oh, turns out if I go with my birth parents I have to leave Riverdale and go to Ohio.

" Okay, so I brought you guys here because I need your advice. I was sitting with dad and Jughead last night watching tv and then there was a knock at the door. It was my birth parents. They wanted to take me back." I said to Archie, Betty and Veronica who were sitting around me in the trailer.

" Oh wow, what do you think you're gonna do?" Veronica asked. "That's what I wanted to ask you guys. I mean yeah they're my parents but they abandonded me at 9 years old to go and get drunk in Vegas because I was holding them back." I said, disgusted.

"Well Y/n, if I'm being honest, if that's the kind of people that left you, and they only showed up now to get you back, I don't think they deserve you." Archie said.

I smiled at them. We talked for a few more minutes so that I could come to a decision.

We got in contact with my birth parents, telling them I made a decision.

" So what? Are we taking you home to Ohio?" Mary asked.

I took a deep breath. "No. I'm sorry but no parents who love their child go off to Vegas to get drunk and abandon their 9 year old. I kept telling myself; 'but they're your parents, they love you' but then I realize, no you don't. Not like Jughead and FP. If you loved me, you wouldn't have left me. You would have put me with a relative or a friend or something. But you didn't. You left me to fend for myself for 2 months until these 2 guys took me in. 6 years ago." I said, spitting those last words at them, making them flinch.

"If you loved me, you'd have come looking for me a long time ago. But you don't. So why would you? You only wanna take me back because I'm happy and you're not in charge of me anymore. And if you can't have me no one can right? So I'm sorry, but I'm not going with you." I said, taking a deep breath at the end.

" So id appreciate if you both left and never came back. Please." I said quietly. They got up and left, surprisingly without argument.

"Goodbye Y/n." John and Mary said together. I closed the door and leaned my forehead on it.

" That was the hardest thing I ever had to do. But I know it's the right thing." I said, turning to Dad and Jughead.

They got up and wrapped their arms around me. "We love you." Jughead said.

"I love you guys too. So much." I said, holding them tight.

Needless to say, I was happy. And Betty, Veronica and Archie were very excited that I was staying. This is my real family.
