Glitch laughed quietly to herself as she stared at the pile of dust to the side of her. "Finally got rid of that pesky skeleton. He was getting too wary of me..."
She kicked the pile, causing dust to fly everywhere, including onto herself. She didn't mind, as she was already covered in monster dust anyway.
"At least I finally have all the LOVE I need. I'm unstoppable."
She went to face what she believed to be her final trial: King Asgore himself.
She had anticipated this moment ever since she first heard of the fluffy king. After she takes him down, she'll have defeated an entire world.
...but...what then? She had not anticipated that.
As soon as this was over, her fun would be over too. She'd be left with no friends. She hesitated, saddened by this sudden realization.
"...eh, forget it. I don't need anyone." she scoffed to herself before continuing onwards.
What she didn't realize is that Asgore had been warned about her and was expecting her arrival. The moment she came in, he turned to face her.
"You must be the one that flower warned me about."
She hesitated and hissed under her breath. Flowey. The traitor.
"What kind of monster are you? Sorry, I cannot tell." Asgore said quietly.
"Monster? I am no monster." Glitch hissed, insulted. "But you are."
The "king fluffybuns" hesitated. "....I-"
"You KILLED innocent children. I was told of it countless times." she continued. "Just for what? A simple escape? Be content with what you have. At least you have something."
... the words echoed in the back of her head. She herself was no better than him...but she shook off the guilt.
Asgore looked away guiltily. "...which is why I was about to say there is no need to fight." he said.
Glitch glared. "So what?"
He was about to say something else, but was quickly surrounded by bullets that closed around him before he could react. They hit, and he turned to dust, his soul shattering.
Glitch stared at the dust. "...who...? What?" She looked around, confused by who did this.
Flowey popped up in front of her. She looked at him with a snarl.
"You." She stepped closer, making him cringe away.
"L-look, I-I never betrayed you..!" he stuttered. "I was planning on killing him for you! The whole kill or be killed thing..? Where I tried to attack you? That was just a joke..! I-I wasn't going to-"
"Cut the small talk, flower boy."
"B-but I can help you! I can be useful to you! I won't get in your way, I promise!"
"Yeah, right."
"Look, I can.... ...I-I can..... ... please don't kill me!" His face turned into a goat face.
Glitch hesitated for a moment.
It was so familiar...
...she was snapped out of her thoughts by the sight of a knife repeatedly slashing Flowey to a pulp, causing her to jump back.
All went dark.
A small human, not much different from Frisk, came into view, smiling innocently.
"Greetings."
