The two cats were happily bounding through Waterfall towards the lab at Hotlands, chasing each other playfully.
They arrived faster than expected and met a skeleton named Gaster and a wolf named Beta.
There were two other smaller skeletons -- Sans and Papyrus.
Prince Asriel and his sibling Chara often visited to play with the skelebros and cats.
Later, there was something that went wrong.
The cats forced Gaster to do the test on them both.
This was too much for the machine to handle.
The power shorted out.
Pain filled the cats' bodies.
There was a scream...
...then all went black.
Glitch jerked awake with a gasp and immediately began hyperventilating. All of this seemed so real to her. It was so...familiar.
She felt something touch her shoulder.
"Gabby, you okay?"
She took a deep breath and calmed down before turning to see who was there.
"Blake?"
"Mom was starting to get worried about you. How long have you been out here? Eh, no matter. At least you finally got some sleep."
Sleep? Is that what had happened? But why could she still see? What about the cats? Gaster? Beta? Was that all real? Was it just her imagination? She was so confused.
"... right." She rubbed her eyes.
"Well, c'mon. Let's get home." Blake said, helping her up.
She felt lightheaded for some reason and stumbled forward. Blake quickly caught her.
"Whoa, careful!"
"Sorry..."
"Hey, don't sweat it. You're probably just still tired. It happens to me too, heh."
Tired? Was that the feeling she had felt before? Tiredness?
"... probably."
Blake nodded and let Glitch lean on his shoulder as the two of them walked home.
