It is now November 2077, in a smog-filled Cleveland, OH. Flying cars shook the sky as they soared through the darkened horizon. The various factories shot steam and flames from their chimneys. The rain and the thunder consumed the city, the lightning struck the ground like glass hitting a wood floor. The giant brass gears rotated and the various brass pipes shot out steam. In the distance, large clock towers rang their bells as it struck 10:00 at night. Long railroad tracks stretched far and wide through the city and with it, victorian-styled locomotives, with cargo cars linked to the powerful locomotives, blew their loud whistles as they sped across the tracks. Blimps, nearly the size of one football field, comprised out of brass and steel tubing that shrouded the large and hollow copper envelopes that each blimp had. The gondolas, filled with people, steered the mighty blimps through the night sky. The castle-shaped buildings cast the light that illuminated the city through the dark environment and the numerous corporate signs lit up and advertised their companies that they were associated with. The casinos and various strip-clubs used lewd holograms to bring the people of the crowded Holocity into their establishments. Inside one casino, there is a pool game going on between two men. The interior of the casino was filled with people on slot games. The casino had the classic color scheme; gold, red and green. There were two very large, and, relatively expensive, crystal chandeliers. One of the men was a rebel Synthetic, the other was a Synthesizer. Both of them knew exactly who they were, but they did not make it obvious.
The rebel Synthetic was tanned, with blue eyes, brown hair, looked like he was around the age of 30 and three missing teeth. He was very short, roughly around 5 feet, but he was very muscular. His name was Shepard. The Synthesizer was the exact opposite of Shepard, he was a tall, pale, and scrawny man. He had blonde hair, had green eyes, a short but curly beard, and had a cigar in his mouth. His name was Thomas. Thomas was in his mid-30s, with his current age at 36. They were both dressed in dress suits, Shepard was wearing primarily purple clothing, while Thomas wore a striped blue dress coat and pants.
"C'mon Shepard, you got the ball man, hit it," Thomas exclaimed. Thomas took out his cigar to let out a huge cloud of smoke as he exhaled. Then Shepard said, "Alright, but remember Tommy, you're the dumbass who bet money on this whole game, and things aren't turning out that well for you." With Shepard's reply, Thomas's face grew into a bit of an angry expression, he was taking various puffs of his cigar. "You did too, ya' short bastard," Thomas said. Then Shepard took his pool cue and aimed at the white ball, aligned the cue to the perfect angle, and thrust the cue towards the ball. The white ball went rolling at an incredibly fast speed and slammed straight into Thomas's pool balls. The balls scattered all over the table due to the impact, and some went straight into the holes. Shepard's face lit up with excitement with his success in obliterating Thomas's triangle of balls.
Thomas, with a face of disappointment, said "Lucky shot. I'll still win the bet." Shepard then took a quick glance at Thomas, then quickly averted his attention to his neat stack of the pool balls, and said "Your move." Then Thomas did the same thing as Shepard did, but this time he knocked almost all of Shepard's balls into each hole. There was one ball left of Shepard's triangle, stopped perfectly before falling into a hole. Thomas then boasted and said, "I guess you could hand over the money now." Shepard's face did not change its expression, it stayed motionless. His pupils started expanding and contracting at an extreme rate. Thomas then dropped his pool cue and looked at him with a confused face. "Everything alright Shepard," Thomas asked. Thomas knew what was going on, so he started to reach for his holstered gun. Shepard stopped jittering and said "It was the drink. I had too many shots." Thomas then asked if he liked the drinks of wine that he had. Shepard then said, "I'll tell you what I think of that drink!" Shepard grabbed a blaster pistol and shot Thomas straight in the stomach. The blast from the gun shook the many casino guests. They all got frightened, and then some started to make their way to the exit. Thomas fell down, his shirt was stained with blood after he was shot. Then Shepard aimed the gun towards Thomas's head. Thomas couldn't really say it, but he tried to say the word no. Shepard then shot Thomas in the head. The second blast instantly killed Thomas, and then the rest of the guests started to run towards the exit. Thomas was dead.
