Charlie flew over Cleveland at an insane speed. He looked at the city from his window. Although he saw the city in this angle many of times, it still fascinated him. He saw the neon lights of every building, he watched the flames of the chimneys of the factories burn and die out in visceral seconds. But he had to keep his eye on the sky as he soared through it. After about 30 minutes of soaring through the sky, Charlie had arrived at the far side of the city, where the Headquarters for the Edsel Corp. was located. The building was massive- from what Charlie read in the description of the building, it was 430 ft. high. A drop from that height would definitely kill someone, Charlie thought. The building closely resembled a medieval castle, with coned roofs all throughout the numerous towers attached the building, except the cone-shaped roofs, spewed steam and flame instead of remaining inactive. Almost every window was lit, meaning someone had to be in there. At the top, the words Hanzo Corp. were illuminated in big, purple lettering. They were the brightest lights out of all in the city. The exterior was comprised of steel, brass, and copper tubing. Apparently, according to the description of the building, it was once a church, but, it was demolished due to the building's age. While Charlie was soaring through the sky on his vehicle, a communications channel was opened up on his radio. The voice spoke, startling Charlie. The voice belonged to a female, in Charlie's mind, he thought the voice sounded lovely. The woman said: "This is the Edsel Corp. how may I help you? Do you wish to land? Do you have a meeting set up? Are you here for a job application?" Charlie then responded "I'm Charlie C. Thompson. Synthesizer, B-22-14-16. Look up my serial number in the police databanks." With this code, the woman typed in the code, occasionally whispering the numbers. The sound of the typing echoed in the Sky Speeder's internal speakers. "You're cleared to land, have a great day," said the woman.
Charlie steered the Sky Speeder towards the nearest landing platform. He landed and deployed the landing gear, which, magnetically locked on to the platform. The platform did the same thing that the platform at the police station did, only it was faster. Charlie got to the parking lot of the building. There were so many cars in the parking lot, mainly because of all the employees working in the vicinity. Charlie then took an elevator up to the main office, where he encountered a Synthetic sitting at a desk. "Hello there sir, how may I help you," said the Synthetic. The Synthetic was an older model, he could tell because of his translucent skin, tan jumpsuit, and glowing blue eyes. Charlie then pulled out his ID and the Synthetic opened the big golden door that gave way to a large room, filled with computers with an infinite amount of knowledge. There were lights that illuminated most of the room although there were some darkened areas. The room was very wood and steel-built, but the wood was artificial. Charlie walked through the hallway where he was supposed to meet the undercover Synthesizer. He was amazed at the sight of the room, but, as he went on, his amazement dissipated into disbelief. The path then leads him to a large door, which, upon arrival, he had opened the door. The room behind the large door was just as big as the door; there was a window that gave off the perfect view of the city. There was a large, oblong-shaped table that sat perfectly in the middle of the room. the chairs around the table were large as well. There was a very large tank that was filled with water and fishes. This sight amazed him, for fish weren't common to see. Then, in the distance, footsteps emerged from the silence. The clicking of the shoes followed by a good 70 steps and stopped. "I see you like our fish," said the person whom the footsteps belonged to. The voice was the woman who talked to Charlie earlier. Then, Charlie turned around to see the woman he talked to earlier. The woman was about the same height as him, maybe a millimeter taller than him. The woman had long purplish-black hair. She was dressed in a black suit with a long black dress after her coat. She was in leather boots that went up to the middle of her shins. Her skin was white and her eyes were light green. At first glance, Charlie fell in love with the woman. "Name's Ramona," she said. "Yeah, I like 'em. They artificial?" asked Charlie.
"Almost everything is artificial. Guess how expensive they are," said Ramona.
"Very."
"I see you're a Synthesizer."
"Yes, I am. I'm here looking for an undercover Synthesizer, do you know where I can find her?"
"You're looking right at her."
"Oh! You're the undercover Synthesizer?"
"Why yes, I am."
Then, more footsteps emerged from the silence. The footsteps came after the tapping of a cane on the marble floor. The figure had moved into the light, it was none other than George Edsel, the founder of the Edsel Corporation. Edsel was 78, which is why he needed the cane, for he could not walk very well. He had on big and round glasses to help him see, for, like his legs, his vision was not strong. He was sort of hunched over, but he could manage. Because of his age, he was shorter than the two other people in the room. He was in a perfectly fitted teal suit and his hair was pushed back. He was of British descent, but that wasn't hard for anyone to guess, his name gave his heritage away. "Ah, I see you two have met," said Edsel.
