Lost Cause (Original)

Chapter 4

The door slammed open. Error jumped gripping Cheetos sleeve tightly out of fear. Two monsters walked in, Dream and... uh... a very colorful figure. Dream smiled as Error grinned quickly jumping over and hugging Dream tightly. The colorful skeleton beside Dream was utterly confused. Why would Error hug someone, much less put his finger on someone. Error hated physical contact not to mention he was the one who made contact. And with Dream?!

"Hey Error, how have you been?" Dream asked smiling happily at the hyper Error who held his star close to his chest and his mini him hanging from his pocket smiling all the way. Error let go of Dream and smiled brightly. "Cheeto was so nice to me and I made him a star and Blueberry said he was going to make tacos so we could eat together, like friends!" Error continued his babbling as Ink stared in awe that Error wasn't trying to hurt anyone or even act the least bit harmful. He acted like a child, a complete oblivious to the situation child. Ink watched as Dream patted Error's skull who nuzzled it smiling all the way. Error noticed Ink and froze instantly. Ink blinked before waving shyly at him and forcing a smile. "Um, hi." He said calmly. Error relaxed and smiled and hugged Ink. Dream giggled and smiled at Ink who gave a nervous laugh before hugging Error back. "Hi Error, I'm Ink." Ink said after Error let go. Error excitedly waved back and said, "Hi Ink, I'm Error and it is nice meet you." Error was quickly side tracked by a Blueberry humming to himself in the kitchen. Error quickly rushed over and started to talk to Blueberry who was happy to have already been Error's friend.

"Um, that was a very weird way to reintroduce yourself to someone." Ink states trying to process what just happened. Dream laughed at Ink who shook his head before sitting down on the couch. "Hey, at least he isn't harmful, he's actually the complete opposite if anything." Dream pointed out. Everyone that has so far met Error found him more and more comfortable to have around. Cheeto even gave him a chance and Error has surprisingly not ruined it yet.

"Yeah, but even though it's my fault and it caused a good thing, it still had it's consequences." Ink stated before sighing. Ink was good guy, well in his opinion he used to be the good guy. "We know you didn't mean it purposely, it was a accident and you two can start over. He can start over with everyone." Dream said trying to stay on the positive side with ease. Ink looked over at Error who was happily being fed a taco and had little stars in his eye sockets. He and Blueberry were closer then they had ever been and for once Error was happy. Ink let out a slight chuckle and sighed. "Yeah, maybe you're right Dream, I can start over." Ink said as Dream smiled victoriously seeing as he had helped Ink see the bright side of this conflict.

Error came bouncing into the living room with a taco in hand and was happily eating it. Little stars grew in his multi colored eye sockets. Ink stared at the joyful innocent Error. Error sat down by the sleeping Cheeto and cuddled close to him as Cheeto lazily wrapped his arm around Error protectively. Error was clueless to seeing it as protective and saw it as a friend thing.

Error finished his taco and pulled out his strings as they wrapped around his fingers. Ink watched curiously as Error was making a star. Ink was astonished, Error was making something. Error soon was once again admiring his work before handing it over to Ink. "This is for you, we are now friends." Error placed it on Ink's scarf before hugging him. Ink smiled softly at Error before rubbing his gloved hand over his skull as Error nuzzled it.

-time skip-

Everyone had finally understood Error's situation and had reintroduced themselves. However, after spending a amount of time with him they had become very protective of him. Cross had also talked to Error when Dream and Ink weren't near and he also became protective, he wasn't letting Nightmare change this innocent Error back into who he used to be or even worse but he didn't know what was worse than the Destroyer of Worlds.

Error had given everyone he'd met a star and would tell them stories of what he would want to do later on in life.

Ink had found this Error adorable, as did everyone else and some even wanted to be more than just friends with the little Error. Ink was included. They wanted Error all to themselves but Dream and Ink had noticed and slowly took the confused Error away from them.

Error, exhausted and sleepy was taken to Underswap since Dream and Ink didn't really have a place for him to go so Underswap was they're place to take him. "Error, who would you like to sleep with?" Dream asked. They didn't think he should sleep alone after the little fight with Nightmare, plus Nightmare could cause night terrors for Error so sleeping with someone might help with the night terrors. "I want to sleep with Cheeto and Blueberry, they are both my friends." Error stated causing Cheeto to blush and smile nervously. Dream and Ink chuckled before giving an okay. Error gave them both hugs before rubbing his eyes tiredly.

Blueberry gave Error a pair of his pajamas before the three slept in Cheetos bed since it was much bigger than Blueberries race car bed. Cheeto had wrapped his arm around the two protectively before falling asleep. Error had whined and cuddled closer to Cheeto and gripped Blueberries shirt tightly. The brothers wrapped they're free arms around Error in a way to comfort him. Error hugged his mini him close and slept peacefully the rest of the night.

Error was slowly woken up by Cheeto who smiled lazily at him. "Come on Error, you need to get up." Error yawned and rubbed his eyes tiredly. "I'm up Papy." Error said sitting up slowly. Cheeto froze trying to process what Error just said. He mentally shook his head and smiled lazily at Error blushing at the cuteness in front of him. Error stretched and was led down stairs where a happy Sans hummed to himself as be made breakfast tacos. Blueberry would never admit it but even he had a slight crush on Error.

Error looked at the tacos on the table and grabbed one tiredly eating it. Blueberry sat down beside him and nuzzled Error who was to tried to even try to understand what Blueberry was doing. Error had finished his taco and slowly started to fall back asleep but quickly sat up and rubbed his eye sockets. "Blueberry, what was I like before?" Error knew he was something before but he was still innocent and naive to really notice things. Blueberry lifted his head and looked at Error nervously. "Well, um, you... um... you were my friend in the Anti-void." Blueberry said giving a tiny detail. Error smiled at the Sans that smiled nervously. "Thanks Sansy." Error said quickly waking up more. Blueberry blinked at the name but smiled as a blue blush dusted his cheeks.
