Ayo! I'm backish even though I wasn't really gone. Just lazy. But yeah.

Tiffany POV

I stared into my soup, swirling the spoon around. Not much was on my mind; I was just daydreaming...except I don't know what I was dreaming about. I felt a nudge and looked over at Red. "Hey, you okay?" He asked. I nodded but he looked me up and down and sighed. He motioned me to meet him outside and I unwillingly followed.

"What?" I asked when we were away from the others.

"What? You know what," He told me while crossing his arms.

"I don't know what you're talking about," I replied.

"Tiffany! You haven't been eating, you're never paying attention, you're less active," he listed. I was quiet and a silence fell between us. "It's about that boy isn't it?" He finally questioned. The question took me aback, as I felt my eyes widen.

"What? N-no... That's not..." I stuttered.

"Don't lie to me, I know it is," he sighed. I shook my head.

"Red, he was my best friend. He was the only person I cared about in that village. When I saw he was alive, it made me happy, but I'm wondering what he does now," I explained. He looked at me questionably but took it.

"If you wonder so much, why don't we go find him?" He asked. I thought for a moment before answering.

"Really? You would do that for me?" I asked with a smile. He smiled back.

"Of course I would," he said. I jumped and hugged him.

"Thank you so much!" I yelled. I pulled away and entangled my hand in his as we walked back into the house. Ali and Chim stared at us when we stepped through the door.

"Um, hi," Ali said awkwardly.

"Why don't you join us for dinner?" Chim said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes as I took my seat. I was smiling all through dinner.

We set out the next day, compass in hand. Ali and Chim came along, but Ali was frustrated as we had to get up by sunrise. I couldn't get the stupid grin off my face as I thought about seeing him again. I was hopping up and down as Red, Chim, and I waited for Ali to get out of the house. "Let's go! Lets go! Lets go!" I chanted.

"Calm down!" Ali screamed.

"How much coffee did you drink this morning?" I heard Red mutter. As soon as Ali made her way over, I grabbed Red's hand and dashed, following the compass for nearest civilization. Chim and Ali managed to keep up as we followed it for maybe and hour or two. Then I saw it. It was a giant army base. On the front gate, I read the sign.

"Sky Army," I recited. Surly he wouldn't be here, but I wanted to check anyways. I walked up slowly and knocked on the gate. I felt stupid but I didn't see any other way. A boy, a little younger than me in golden armor answered.

"Who are you and what is your business here?" He asked me.

"I'm looking for Mitchell Hughes," I stated.

"Fan or friend?" He asked.

"Friend. He should remember me," I told him.

"Wait here," he said. I stood my ground as I watched him run off. He returned later with the boy I was looking for.

"Mitch!" I screamed. His head shot over to me, then he smiled. He ran to the gate, unlatching it and letting me in.

"Oh my god...Tiff?" He asked. "I knew you were alive!" I laughed as a few tears ran down my face. I hugged him and he hugged me back, smiles plastered to both of our faces. I noticed my friends awkwardly standing near us and I pulled away.

"Mitch, these are my friends, Ali, Chimney, and Red," I said while gesturing to each of them. He greeted them and then I saw him look around.

"Where's Je-" he started but a voice interrupted him.

"BIGGUMS!" It screamed. Mitch focused his head in one spot and laughed. I followed his gaze to a fluffy bacca running towards the group. Normally I would've freaked out, but because Mitch was being so calm, I was too. The bacca came closer and leaped on Mitch's back as they both fell, laughing.

"This is Jerome," Mitch said while standing. I smiled and put out my hand. Jerome placed his furry one in mine and it was so soft... We shook hands and all of us just kind of stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to do.

"Hey...um...do you guys have a place to stay?" Jerome asked. "You could join the army."

"Actually..." Ali thought for a moment. "We do but it's not really...what do you say...up to standards..." She said truthfully. I saw a smile spread across Mitch's face. I turned back to my friends and they all seemed fine with it.

"Could we?" I asked, just to make sure, and they all nodded. I smiled for the umpteenth time today and turned back to the fluffy and Mitch. "Yes," I stated. "We would like to stay." This time, both of them grinned and they lead us to our new homes.
