Chapter 3: Uh Oh?

Emily's POV

I turned back around and climbed into my car. I can't tell her how I feel, what if I misinterpreted? It will ruin our friendship. I guess I have been too distant. But I can't go back to hanging out with her like we usually do, it's too hard.

*tonight*

I'm home. I kick off my shoes and unclipped my bra, today was a long day. Time to unravel. But I can't stop thinking about Adrienne. I am not sure what I am going to do. We are going to see each other pretty much every day now since she just got the news that she is going to be a series regular. The whole night, I just can't stop thinking about her.

Adrienne's POV

I can't stop thinking about Emily. What's wrong? Did I do something? Maybe she doesn't want me to be a series regular? Or worse... What if she found out I liked her?! But that's impossible... I haven't told anyone. There is no way.

*next day*

I go onto set hoping Em would be there and that everything between will be normal. I see her so I walk towards her. She hears my footsteps and turns around. I don't know exactly what happened but it seems like she froze for a couple seconds then smiled and waved weakly at me. Something is still blocking her from coming clean with me. I just can't figure it out. But she is my closest friend and I can only hope that we will be just fine.

We were both quite busy the rest of the morning but we sat together during lunch with Katie and Willa like we usually do. But we didn't talk much. In fact, we barely talked. I can tell Katie had sensed the tension between us, but she didn't say anything. Right now, I'm in my trailer waiting to be called onto set. I hear footsteps. I walk toward the door to see who's there and Emily speed walked right through the door. Without saying a word, she pushed me against the wall and kissed me. She didn't stop. In fact, she kept going. I felt electrical, the feeling traveled through my body as Emily pushed her lips into mine again and again. I didn't know what was happening, but then I realized. I snapped back into reality.

Emily's POV

I felt overwhelmed. I lost control and sped into Rennie's trailer. Without thinking, I lifted her arms and pushed her into the wall. I kissed her with passion. Suddenly, this feeling rushed through me. It felt amazing. I couldn't stop and I didn't want to. It seems like she wasn't pushing me away, until she suddenly opened her eyes and stopped me. She grabbed my shoulders and pulled away.

"Em. Wha-what are you doing?"

"I-I uh, I thought... You liked me. I don't know. I just."

I felt tears forming. I didn't know what I was thinking, but that rush was the best thing I have ever felt. I didn't want to stop.

"Em, I'm... I d-"

Suddenly Katie walked in and a tear dropped.

Katie's POV

Wendy told me to get Adrienne because her scene is coming. So I headed towards her trailer, and when I walked in, I saw Emily and her standing face to face. Emily had a tear rolling down her face and Adrienne was stuttering. I was obviously interrupting something.

Not knowing what's happening, I simply said "Uh, Adrienne, you're needed on set."

Adrienne's POV

Katie said I needed to be on set. It was the perfect timing. I need to process what just happened. What does this mean? How does she even know that I like her? But isn't this a dream come true? She likes me too... I think. Life is just so confusing. I need time to clear my head. So, I left Em and followed Katie.

Emily's POV

Adrienne's left with Katie. I'm not sure what to feel. I feel embarrassed, overwhelmed, and slightly confused. Did I misunderstand what she said? Have I blown our friendship?
