More Than Just Friends - Emily Bett Fan Fic

Chapter 2: Distance

Emily's POV

I woke with Rennie cuddling me and her arms wrapped around my boobs. As I woke up, so did she. She's so cute in the morning, definitely not an early bird.

"Morning." 

 "Morning."

"What time is it?"

"Um, 8:04. We don't have anything to do in the morning, can't we cuddle a bit longer?"

"Course Rennie."

"Mmm."

And this is why I love her in the morning. She wants to cuddle. So we cuddle a bit more while I play with her hair. 10 minutes later she starts to actually wake up.

"Mmm Em?"

"Hmm?"

"What are we having for breakfast?"

"Haha, you're thinking too far, we haven't even gotten out of bed yet. Come on you lazy head!"

"Fine."

We get up and I put on some baggy shirt and shorts that I find on the ground. I'm just that organized. Adrienne heads to the washroom to get refreshed and I join her while she is brushing her teeth.

"I should probably get home, I have a lot to get done today."

"Are you sure you don't want to stay at my place for breakfast?"

"Nah, I'll see you soon anyway."

"Ok, well finish getting ready... and, well you are going to have to take the bus. I still don't have my car."

"Ya, no problem Em. I really should get my drivers license though."

"Yes, you're 19 for god's sake!!"

I am a bit sad she doesn't want to stay for breakfast, but I understand that she has to get back.

*a couple minutes later*

Soon enough she was ready to go, so I escorted her out and she left. But the strange thing was right when she left I remembered something she said last night. Right when I fell asleep I am pretty sure I heard her say that 'she likes me but we could never be'. Does that mean, she has feelings for me? Like I do for her. It can't be. I'm not sure what it means... I will see her in two days, so I guess I can just ask her. I shrugged it off and carried on to get ready for Colton and Jeff's special day.

*two days later*

Adrienne's POV

I am currently getting ready to get back to set for a couple more scenes of the next episode. I can't wait to see Katie. Matthew told Emily, Stephen, Colton, Danielle, and some other cast members that he was going to propose when they head out to their trip! I'm so happy for her, they are real-life relationship goals, but then Colton and Jeff just had their rehearsal dinner. Anyways, enough about the cute couples in the cast.

*a few moments later*

I arrived on set to only see Stephen, Paul, and Willa. I wonder where everyone else is. I got my makeup done and decided to ask where everyone else was.

"They are all training, the scenes we are going to shoot right now don't have them in it either so they won't be arriving until later."

"Ok."

I was kind of bummed out everyone is training but I'll see them later. So I carry on with my day.

*4 hours later*

We finished the scene with Paul and Willa awhile ago. We just finished the scene with Stephen and I. I see Katie and David come in. I wave at them and they go to do their makeup while we take a break.

Emily's POV

I came onto set and half of the cast was there. I see Rennie but decided to avoid her for now. I am not sure I should confront her about what she said or just leave it in the past. I go in and get my makeup done with Katie. We chat and scroll through Instagram and everything else. Finally, we are down and we start shooting our scene with Stephen. Adrienne was there watching. She waved when she saw me, I waved back not knowing what to say. Thankfully, I was called to start the scene with Stephen, Katie, and David.

*a few moments later*

After that, I have a break and then Rennie and I have to shoot a scene with just the two of us.

Adrienne's POV

Em has been cold. I guess I am being dramatic but she usually is pretty open even when she is having a bad day. She came in and we haven't spoken, mostly because she was shooting and doing makeup since she came in. But when I waved, she didn't come over and usually when she comes in, she says hi to everyone and chats even just for a minute or two. Today, I didn't even see her come in. I guess she is just having one of "those" days. We have a scene together soon though, so I can go and chat with her in between and after we shoot! So I headed over and we started shooting immediately. But during our break, I went over to Emily and chatted. She talked but she was distant. She's hiding something, and I'm not sure what or if it's good or bad. But I assume it has to do with me.

*later today*

"Em! Wait up!"

She keeps walking.

"Em!!!!"

She turns around.

"Are we ok?"

"Yes. Of course, we're fine. I have to go."

She turns back and heads towards her car. I grab her shoulder to turn her around.

"Em. Please, tell me what's going on."

"Listen, I'm sorry. I know I've been distant today. It's nothing. I have to go."
