Chapter 19

(Reader's POV)

It is now morning time and you just finished taking your morning shower then put on clothes that the other kids let you have since your part of their family now.

You walk out of your room walk to the cafeteria, seeing that some are awake and some are still asleep in their room. You felt a tap on your left shoulder and turns to see Jackie.

"Hey, (y/n), can you cook?" Jackie asked with a smile.

"Yeah, I can cook." You raised a brow, wondering why he asked you that question.

"Because we need your help in the kitchen right now." Jackie grabbed your wrist and pulls you to the kitchen.
In the kitchen, Cody was waiting for you and Jackie to return. When you two came to, he throws you the apron.

You caught the apron. "So, what do you need me to cook?" You asked them while putting the apron on.

"That's why your back here with us. To help us think another recipe to cook." Cody said while leaning back on the wall and started to think. Same for Jackie.

You think as well, knowing what recipe that they haven't tried yet. Then it came to your mind. "How about breakfast quiche?"

The boys looked at you, all puzzled.

"You guys haven't tried that?"

They shook their head. These boys never make that before. Heck, they even never heard of it.

"Well, looks like it's time for me to show it to you boys. My way." You closed eyes smiled at them and get everything you need, except that it's not enough of the ingredients. "Oh no. This won't be enough."

Angelica walks in the kitchen and sees you with a slight smile. "I see that your helping them making breakfast."

"Yeah but there's a problem. We don't have enough ingredients." You tell her with your hands on your hips.

"Oh gosh. What are you making?"

"Breakfast quiche."

"That's my favorite!"

"I would like for someone to go to the grocery store to buy more ingredients."

Tonnie stick her head out and smiled real big. "I can sure help with that!"

"Tonnie, what are you doing here?" Cody asked with his arms crossed.

"I'm here because I want to help, duh."

"Alright. I need for you to get plenty of sausages, eggs, shredded cheese, and the quiche crust. Also orange juice." You give her the list of simple things you three need.

"You got it!" Tonnie gives you a wink and a thumb up as she grabbed Angelica's wrist. "C'mon, Angelica. We're going to the grocery store!" She pulls her along and started running.

Angelica has her wrist grabbed and gets pulled along, running with her. "Whoa! Why am I going?!"

Kyle runs after them (just because 😏). "I'm coming with!"

After a while of Tonnie driving back from the grocery store, (yes I know she's 14 too young to drive and don't have a learner's permit but she's a good driver!) they carry the bags to the kitchen and you started to help the boys making the quiche.
When it was ready, you and the boys served the breakfast quiche to the others to let them try and they love your cooking.

"Bro, this great! They love it and it's delicious!" Jackie said with a smile as he eats his as well.

Cody tries it himself and is loving how the taste is flowing in his taste buds, knowing that it's really good. "Yeah. It is delicious."
