“Where are all the busboys?” asks Peter, searching around the kitchen, “They should be cleaning plates! I don’t have time for this nonsense people!”
A waiter walks by, carrying a tray of hors d’oeuvres, “Save me some of those,” Peter requests.
“Yes sir,” the waiter says, setting a couple aside on a shelf in the back.Lord Cap goes to the front of the room, where the DJ booth is located and borrows the mic, tapping it a couple of times,
“Welcome everyone! I would just like to thank you for coming!” he pauses and music begins to play, Julian’s favorite song, Born this Way by Lady Gaga, “Now, the king of the party, my son, Julian!”
A single spotlight goes to the top of the grand staircase where Julian is standing next to Nine. Julian, wearing an ensemble picked out by Nine, dons a black button up and pants along with a vest and bowtie in the shade of green that perfectly matches his eyes. His hair still done up in his natural curly floof and wearing light makeup. He can’t look any gayer, or more attractive to Roman who is practically drooling all over himself.
Seeing that Julian is uncomfortable with all the stares he is getting.Nine runs down the stairs to the microphone “Dance!” with a smile and returns back to Julian’s side, who gives them a thankful smile.
Everyone returns to their previous conversations and the music begins once again. Lord Cap goes back to his seat at a chair on the side of his room next to his cousin.
“It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a party like this,” he says.“Agreed, it’s been like, thirty years”
“Time sure does fly by.”The pair laughs.
Roman, who has since wiped the drool from his chin, is following Julian from his place on the staircase, watching him almost fall down them in the process, tracks his location so he won’t lose him in the crowd. This task is made enormously easier by Julian’s bright-haired companion. Tim, who has been standing behind Roman the entire time, sees through Roman’s clever disguise. Tim slowly begins to draw his knife from the sheath on his waist as he approaches Roman from behind. In this moment, Ben spots Tim and practically flounces his way over to him, this gives Roman a chance to advance on Julian.
Ben reaches Tim and throws himself into Tim’s arms, “What are YOU doing here?” questions Tim angrily.
“I wanted to see you hunny-buns,” says Ben, snaking his arms around Tim to give Tim’s ass a nice, gentle squeeze.Tim flushes at this advance and whispers into Ben’s ear through clenched teeth, “Not here,” looking around to make sure no one is staring.
Ben gives Tim a knowing look, “ I’ll come find you later when the party's over.”Releasing Tim with a final wink. Tim takes a moment to collect himself,
“Now, where did that Monday go?” he asks himself. After doing a scan of the room with no luck, he leaves the room.“I’m going to go grab us some punch,” Nine shouts into Julian’s ear, due to the loud music.
“I’ll stay here,” he replies.
Nine heads off in search of the food table or a waiter. Roman takes advantage of this moment to grab Julian and pull him into a single stall bathroom. Julian, shocked by the sudden change of location pries his hand from Roman’s.
“I’m sorry if I have offended you,” Roman quickly apologizes, “my lips are ready to make up for any harm I have unintentionally caused you.”
Julian turns a shade of red at Roman’s smooth pick-up line, but is quick to respond with his own witty remark, “Touching my hand is a symbol of devotion, you are merely a man touching the hand of an angel. Holding hands is close enough to a kiss for me.”
“Angels and men have lips too,” Roman says, trying to get a point across.
“Lips they are supposed to pray with.”Julian is becoming slightly annoyed.
“Well then, Mr. Angel, I’m praying for you to kiss me. Please grant my prayer so my faith doesn’t falter.”.
“Angels can’t move,” Julian retorts, sticking out his tongue and crossing his arms in defiance.
“You don’t have to move Mr. Angel.”
Roman grabs Julian by the waist and pulls him close. He closes his eyes, but Julian is the one to close the distance between the two. Pressing his baby soft lips against Roman’s cracked and dry ones, he begins to wonder why he made such a spontaneous move.Roman, however, is enjoying himself completely and is absorbed in the moment. Julian pulls away slightly, causing Roman to open his eyes in confusion.
“Is everything alright baby?” Roman asks.
“My lips have sinned,” Julian smirks.
Roman laughs, “You encourage me to sin once more, I’ll be taking my sin back now.”
Roman resumes kissing Julian once again, this time, taking it a little bit further and a lot a bit sloppier. Nine knocks on the door, “Julian? Are you in there? Your mother wants to talk to you.”Julian pulls away in shock and fear of being found out and replies, “Yeah, I’m in here. I’ll be out in a minute.”
Julian gives Roman one final peck on the lips before checking his appearance in the mirror, “I hope to see you again,” and exits the bathroom.
Roman stays behind a few minutes, for safety reasons and to calm himself down. Taking a deep breath, he too, exits the bathroom.Ben and Mark spot Roman exiting the bathroom and quickly make their way over to him,
“Now is the time to leave,” says Ben.
Roman, looking quite disappointed and thrilled at the same time, says nothing. Each man grabs an arm of Roman’s and begin to walk him out of the room, towards the front door. Lord Cap stops them as they are about to make their exit,
“Where are you going boys? The party has only begun!”
Ben whispers into Roman’s ear, “Act drunk.”
Roman is quick to do so, begins to act on the edge of passed out and party animal. He tries to start a fight with Mark while Ben explains the situation to Lord Cap, who is unaware that the men are Monday’s.
“I’m so sorry, my lord, my friend here,” Ben gestures to Roman, “has had a little too much of the punch.”
Lord Cap laughs heartily, “I remember when I was able bodied enough to do that. You get him home and into bed before he vomits all over my floors.”
With a final warning, Ben, Mark, and Roman exit the mansion and wander around the block a few times before entering the Monday mansion through the back gate, away from the Cap mansion.Julian and Nine return to Julian’s room once the party is over.
Julian sits on his bed and asks, “Nine, who was the young man that was with the man talking to my father before they left?”
“I’m not sure, I can do a search to see if I can find out who it was.” says Nine, who is quickly typing away on their phone. “Is this him?” turning the phone so Julian can look at the photo.
“That is him.” Julian confirms.
“It says here that his name is,” Nine gasps slightly, shocked, “Roman Monday, the son of your father’s worst enemy. DUN DUN DUNNNNNN!”
Julian’s mood immediately drops, “You’re joking right?” Julian questions. “You can’t be serious.”
“I am.” Nine deadpans.
Julian lies on his back and covers his face with a pillow, “WHY?!” he screams.
