2.

Half past four, a little over six and a half hours after arriving at a newly acquired house, and Terrence Williams not only finally has a chair to sit on, but also a moment in which to take the time and sit. The chair, along with many other items, have been in his possession at this location for more than a few hours though getting some basic organisation done has kept him occupied and it is only at this point that he decided he has done enough organizing for the time being that now it is time to take that moment and just sit.

And it is only in this moment that he fully notices just how bad the weather outside has gotten. The pleasant morning weather is certainly gone, and it looks like it is getting quite rough out there. He was aware that rain has been falling for a while and a breeze has become stronger than a breeze, still, it has become so much stronger now that it has either come in quite quickly or he had been too distracted to take proper notice before now.

That's not true though, is it? For it is no more than a projection, a potential and apparent forecast of what is tp to come, as for when he looks again, the sun is shining just as it had done when he first arrived with the exception now being that it is a little higher in the sky than what it had been. What is this trickery? That park, there is something about it and the gloom he had observed just beyond its entrance. It is almost as if it were reaching out to him.

Inclement, or not so inclement weather aside, Terrence is where he currently is due to the fact he has changed all that is, all that was, and has moved home to a new town and his day is as such that he no longer wants to think about unpacking. Heck, unpacking is a distant thought. The hours prior to this one were all about getting the furniture into his new home and in place, all other items will stay in their packed boxes until the next day at the very least. His day, for now, is done even with it still being late afternoon. Thing is that the day is not done with him.

Yeah, there is no point in getting too far ahead of himself. The workmen from the removal company he has used to transport his belongings have only finished up a little while prior, going far enough as to laying transported items to the room or rooms they are destined for, and Terrence indeed now sits alone contemplating all what this day has been up till now.

He has electricity but as of yet has not powered on anything or connected anything. He, in this moment, is as alone as anyone can be with their own thoughts. At that too, these thoughts are some thoughts to be having. Unexpectantly odd to say the least.

What the heck was it that had happened to him when he had gone wandering through this new town that he now belongs to? Yeah, belongs to, that might be the term to use despite the fact he is not long here, and as to how he already feels about the place. Does Terrence somehow belong to something that he could never have prepared for, something he could not have known about?

Nah, thinking can be dangerous at times, especially if he were to begin to consider that all his life to this point, in itself, was to prepare him to be right here at this time. No conclusions can be reached just by sitting right where it is that he is. There has to be some logical reason for misplacing two hours of time, and for his perception of the weather conditions, maybe there could be some sort of medical reason?

That can't be it. Terrence is twenty-six years old, slim, and healthy; he has no more stress in his life than anyone else might have. He has no issues or physical ailments of any kind, so much as he is aware of, and physically, he feels as fine as he ever has. Things can go wrong at any time in any life but this ... this is something else. Moving to where he now is, had been something intended to make life all the easier, all the more ... relaxing. This place right here ... it is a complete getaway from all that came before.

He is too young to be having a mid-life crisis, nut then again ...

Sure family, friends and acquaintances aren't totally out of the picture. They are only a couple of hours or so of a drive away. He still has them should he need someone to rely upon. Down here ... life is meant to be easy, meant to be peaceful. It is a get-away, his own private get-away. It too is a place destined for his arrival.
