~Henry David ThoreauA Few Months Later...
The guys I saw a few months ago was not the same boy today. He was popular now, with the guys wanting to be him and the girls wanting to be with him. My crush developed over time, and now, I can't even look at him without my heart rate increasing. The worst part is that he didn't even notice me.
I couldn't even concentrate today in class. He was staring out the window. Not even caring to listen to the teacher. It was as if he didn't care that he was the talk of the school. That his name, Xavier Allen, was called by every girl. I quickly looked away. I could risk him catching my eye. That would be awkward. I dragged my pencil across my notebook and completely zoned out.

School was out and my books were piled up in my hands. I have so much homework. My backpack was already stuffed with more books. It's like, teachers don't get what it's like to have a break. They're just like, "Oh, they get a week off? UNACCEPTABLE! Let me just assign a bunch of random crap that we didn't even learn about." I walked out the school's rolling my eyes at my thoughts about teachers. I was shuffling through my books trying to organize myself, when I heard a loud engine. I looked up to see a speeding car racing down the street. Why do people do that? This is a flipping high school, what are you racing for? This isn't NASCAR. I was about to look down when I see Xavier standing in the middle of the street on his phone.
Come on! In the middle of the street! Where did your common sense go? Is it back in the school?
Jeez. I'm just roasting everyone today aren't I.
I drop my backpack and all my books on the floor and take off running. I push him out of the way with all my force.
The car didn't hit him, luckily.
I wish I could say the same for myself.
