Chapter 6

"What do you mean you're moving??" Chloe asked. Chloe, Krissy, and Steven were in the cafeteria eating lunch. They were talking and Steven brought up the topic of moving. "Yeah, I'm moving to New Harmony." Steven said. "But why?" Krissy asked. "Because my parents found a better paying job there and they were complaining about 'noise' in the neighborhood." Steven replied. "Please don't leave us!" Chloe cried. "I can't do that, if I were my parents I would say something, but they don't care about my friends, only money." Steven said. He was frowning thinking about the fact that money was more important than friendship to his parents. "Aww, that stinks." Krissy said. "We'll miss you so much, I'm gonna cry." Chloe said. "It's okay, I'll be back. After all, we can still hang out today after school. What do you say?" Steven said. "Sure, I can hang out." Chloe said. "I can too." Krissy said. "Great, let's meet after school then." Steven said. The day passed and Chloe and Krissy met with Steven after school. "So, what do you want to do?" Steven asked. "Hmm, wanna get ice cream?" Krissy asked. "Oooh, I love ice cream!" Chloe said. "That's a great idea. To the ice cream shop!" Steven said. They then walked to the ice cream shop since it was two blocks away from the school. Steven got a chocolate, Krissy got a vanilla, and Chloe had a mint chocolate chip. "It's great to have ice cream now, since it's May and it's 75℉ out." Steven said. "Yeah, it's a shame you're leaving though. The three of us were childhood pals and now we're gonna get separated." Chloe said. "I'm gonna miss this place, and I'm gonna miss you two the most. You both gave me great memories and made me feel better when I'm down. You two are my best friends and I'll never pick anyone else over you both to be better." Steven said. Krissy was crying. "AHHH!!! WHY MUST THE EARTH DO SOMETHING THIS MEAN TO MEEE?!?!" Krissy cried. She then hugged Steven, she then blew her nose on his shirt. "Ah, woah! Chill out. You're going to see me again, don't worry." Steven said. Then Chloe joined in on the hug. "Group hug!" Chloe said. They both were crying over Steven. Finally Steven let out a sigh and began to cry. "I'm gonna miss you both so much!" He cried and hugged them back. The ice cream maker came outside the shop and saw them crying. "Why are you so sad, ice cream is supposed to make you happy?" The ice cream maker said. "It's not that, our friend is leaving town today and this is our last day with him." Chloe said. "Aww, you know what? I'll do something special for you three." He said. "Really?" Krissy asked. "Sure, for today, ice cream is on the house for you. Is that okay? I really hope you all feel better." He said. "Oh my gosh, thank you so much!" Krissy said. "No problem." The ice cream maker said with a smile. "C'mon, let's eat some ice cream. I'm tired of seeing these frowns. After all, the name of the place is Smiley Cone's Ice Cream. Why not have a smile, relax, and enjoy the ice cream?" They ordered a couple more cones. "By the way, you can call me Anthony, what are your names?" They recited their names. They then started talking about things in general. "Y'know, I never started off making ice cream. I used to work at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza before it closed down." Anthony said. Chloe froze in shock to hear that. "Yeah, those were good times, until those missing children incidents happened. It was a shame that happened. Freddy's was a fun place for everyone, that's why I wanted to help out by cooking the food. I made the pizzas there. I made sure they were perfect so I could see a satisfied smile." "Woah, you worked there?" Steven asked. "Yep." Anthony said. "What happened to the kids?" Steven asked. "Oh, nobody knows what happened. All we know is that they are marked missing. I assume that they are... Well, that's a negative topic to bring up here. Let's just focus on something else shall we?" Anthony said. He had a tear running down his eye. "Is something wrong?" Chloe asked. "Ugh, it's nothing..." Anthony said. "Are you sure, you seem upset." Krissy said. Anthony sighed. "Okay, I'll tell you. My son... He went missing in Freddy Fazbear's. I don't know what happened to him. He just disappeared. There were already a few missing incidents before that. It was bring your child to work day. I told my son he could do whatever he wanted for the time being. He told me he wanted to see Foxy, so I let him see him. But at the end of my shift, he was gone. I checked everywhere, but he was nowhere to be found. I asked my boss Henry, but he said he didn't see him. Another incident happened a few months later, and well. Henry committed suicide in his grief. The co-owner William took over and well, the restaurant chain fell apart and the place closed down..." Anthony said. "I'm sorry to hear that." Steven said. Chloe felt empathy for Anthony, considering that her sister saw a murder happen right next to her. The day ended and it was night. Anthony closed up shop and waved goodnight. Chloe and Krissy waved their final goodbyes to Steven and wished him good luck. Krissy went home and so did Chloe. She then got changed into her pajamas and went to sleep...
