☀️Chapter 3~Stress Can Hurt Mum and Baby

At that moment panic filled Eugene's heart, his wife was giving birth in a cave with no one to help her through the pain except for him and not knowing if what he was doing was going to help or maybe kill Rapunzel along with his daughter, but with Rapunzel squirming and whimpering as the contractions continued to get worse, Eugene got up his courage knowing that he might be her only hope of a safe delivery and he went to get things from his satchel.

But stopped as he saw maybe their only way out of this, a water pipe right across from the brother, then he had an idea, if he tied one side of rope to it and the other side of a boulder, with enough force it would burst, which would give them a distraction and they could get out, he looked to the brother who was watching his wife with an evil stare, then to Rapunzel who was tensing up as another contraction took over her body as she screamed in pain again,
"AHH... Ahh" she paused and whispered hoping the brother didn't hear her, Eugene saw her mouth the words, 'Eugene please help, she's not far away'

She was distraught and scared she gazed into Eugene's eyes with pain written all over her face.

It was the only option he couldn't watch her go through this anymore, so he took time and got it set up as the brother continued to watch Rapunzel, Eugene pretended to be creating painkillers from herbs and roots anything within reach that he knew could possibly help, but as he ran across the cave to the pipe, the brother saw him and got suspicious, Eugene realised he was being too obvious, so he said, "The root rolled away"

'Okay granted not the smartest thing I could have said, but I was hoping to get the brother off track' Eugene thought to himself.

The brother just stared at him, but then a cry from Rapunzel broke his concentration and both men looked at her, Eugene got up and ran to her, as he sat down beside her, he held her hand and she looked up at him and he asked, "Are you ok... it's getting really bad isn't it?" He asked her worriedly as he stroked her hair, trying to keep his own tears at bay.

Rapunzel kept her head down not wanting to scare him but she only made him agitated,
"Rapunzel, I've known you for nearly three years now, I can tell when somethings wrong," He said hoping that she was smart enough to know that if she didn't tell him it was getting really strong and painful, there was nothing he could do to help her.

She looked at him and knew he could tell so she confessed, "yes it's getting worse, they're maybe four minutes apart, but... Ahh" She paused as she squealed and gripped his hand.

Eugene looked at her, Rapunzel looked at him and whispered desperately, "Eugene... As Soon As She's Born Take Her.. Take Her And Run, Please I'll Be Fine, But You Have To Take Her!" She cried hoping he would listen and understand that all she wanted was for her husband and daughter to be safe.

Eugene looked at her blankly with his mouth open like a goldfish, "Rapunzel That's Not Funny, I'm Not Just Gonna Take Off and Leave You!" He said knowing she was scared, "Eugene I'm not joking as soon as She's Born-Run!" She practically ordered, Eugene fought back, feeling helplessly scared, "Rapunzel no, I have a plan and it's going to work" he then told her his plan to get them out.

She listened and then asked, "But how are you going to get him running? Ahh!!" she asked concernedly as she rubbed her abdomen when a contraction came, Eugene looked at her and realised he hadn't thought of it.

Rapunzel looked at him and said, "Eugene I know you think your being heroic or brave, but your just being foolish, you know I'm right" she pressed and Eugene felt like his whole world was coming down, his wife was telling him to run as soon as she delivered their firstborn and take off leaving her behind with a madman who would probably kill her to get revenge on Eugene for killing his brother.
