Grandpa, who am I?
Grandpa, what's the story of my people?

How did we get to America?
Grandma, why did your mom live in a lighthouse?
Why was she adopted?
Grandparents, where am I from?
Who am I?
Ancestors, who are you?
I imagine one of you is a warrior?
A soldier?
Were you all killed in combat?
Were we cowards?
Because I am.
Did my struggle, my mother's struggle
Come from you?
Is it true our health is in our DNA?
Mom, why are you lost?
Dad, why do you disappear?
Is it because you're missing
The fathers you held most dear?
Whoever they are, our ancestors watch us
