Those who don't know my family look at us differently. Those who come into my neighborhood and see my family, they judge us. They think that we will hurt them. They are scared we will try to steal something from them. Those are the people who got there by mistake. But I'm not afraid, I know that the kids who look shady just want to be noticed and loved. The ones who shout "F**k 12" just want to get help, and the people who ride around on bikes do that because they don't have a job stable enough so that they can get a car. All different all around and we are safe. When we go somewhere where people who have never dealt with our hardships, people who have never had to look into their parents eyes and say " I know we don't have the money but.." Being around those types of people can cloud your mind with insecurities, make you feel self-conscious even if you are one of the most confident people that you know, with worries about what they could do with just one word (just because of how high they are on the "Popularity" chain) and how they could ruin your social life. When all is said and all is done, we know our streets and for those who don't, they hope that they don't get caught up in the mess. When close my eyes I hope that I keep on the path I'm on. But yeah. That's how it goes and goes.
