The stars

Eddie awoke to a light thumping on his window. He sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He looked at the clock. It read 1:34 am. He tossed his blanket aside and slowly walked to his window. He expected it to be a branch moved by the wind so he was prepared to rip a branch off. When he opened the window though, he was nearly hit in the face with a stone. He looked down and the trashmouth, Richie Tozier was throwing stones at his window.

"Richie, what the fuck are you doing?" He whisper yelled. If his mom found out that Richie Tozier was here, he would be in very big trouble.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" He whisper yelled back, "I'm trying to wake you up dumbass!"

"Okay but why?" 

"There is gonna be a meteor shower tonight and I want you to come see it with me."

Richie looked down at his shoes, embarrassed. Eddie smiled at the thought that Richie Tozier was this level of cute. Asking Eddie to watch a meteor shower? That's just so adorable.

"Of course I'll go with you, but I'm a little scared to sneak out. Rich, my mom doesn't exactly like you and I don't think she will be too fond of me sneaking out with you, of all people."

"Hold on, I'll help you. I just need to get inside. I don't wanna have to whisper yell this whole time. Can you unlock the front door for me?"

Eddie froze. He wasn't sure if his mom was awake or not. 

"Hold on, lemme see if my mom is awake or not. Stay here."

Richie nodded and sat down. His legs were tired after riding his bike super fast over to Eddie's.

Eddie tip toed out his door and into the hallway. He listened for sounds of snoring. He didn't find any. His heart sank. Maybe his mom was awake after all. He made his way over to her room and slowly opened it. It creaked and he ran away, expecting her to chase him and ask him why he was in her room. He bolted to his room and pretended to be asleep. He waited a little bit, making sure that she wasn't watching him sleep. He opened his eyes and looked around. No sign of Mrs. Kaspbrak. He walked out into the hall again and went in the direction of her room once more. He looked at her through the little crack that he made while trying to open the door all the way. No way he was trying that again. He saw her chest rising and lowering slowly, and faint snores could be heard. He sighed a sigh of relief and slowly closed the door all the way. Then, he made his way over to his window.

"She's asleep, I'll open the door for you."

"About time Eddie spaghetti."

He walked down the stairs and unlocked the door and opened it, only to be greeted by a smiling Richie. For a second, he looked like It and Eddie whimpered, remembering all the terrible things that had happened that summer.

"Woah Eds, didn't mean to scare ya."

Eddie wiped a tear from his eye and walked away, Richie following behind.

"Hey Eds, you got blankets? I forgot to get some. And also you might wanna change into something warmer, it's a little chilly outside."

Eddie said nothing and walked to his room and opened his closet, where he got 3 blankets. Then he told Richie to wait outside his door while he changed. Eddie got on some sweatpants and a long sleeved shirt while he grabbed a hoodie from his drawer. He got on fuzzy socks and put some Vans on. Then, he opened the door and let Richie in.

"Aw Eds you look so cuddly and cute!"

Eddie blushed and smiled while looking into Richie's beautiful eyes.

"sO we should get going."

"Oh yeah right."

Eddie looked down, embarrassed that he's been staring for too long. They grabbed the blankets and headed off on their bikes to The Hill. The Hill was a little hill right by Richie's house that Eddie and Richie went to often to talk about things. To talk about their day or how stressful life is. That sorta stuff.

Once they got there Richie nervously looked at his watch. It read 2:05 am. It started in 10 minutes. They set the blankets down and Eddie snuggled up under them, enjoying the warmth that they bring. Richie did the same and blushed at how close they were. Richie stared at Eddie for a while, admiring all of his features lovingly. His messy hair, his pretty eyes, his little freckles, and his tan skin. Eddie noticed him staring and looked at him, a blush creeping up on his cheeks.

"You're so beautiful." Richie whispered. You could practically see the heart eyes on him. Eddie blushed tremendously and looked up at the sky. He grabbed Richie's hand and intertwined their fingers. Eddie looked back at Richie and got even closer to him. They were so close, their lips were almost touching.

"Richie is it okay if I, kiss you?"

Richie almost choked on air. He has alway thought about kissing Eddie but never thought he'd actually do it.

"Well I-I uh-"

But he was interrupted by Eddie's lips smashing against his. Richie gasped as Eddie kissed him more. Eddie pulled his face away and looked at Richie. Richie's face was surprised, and Eddie began to feel scared. He wondered if he made a huge mistake. Maybe Richie didn't feel he same. He teared up and looked down at the blankets. Richie tilted Eddie's head towards him and wiped his tears away, but they just kept falling. 

"Eddie, baby, don't cry. Please, don't cry."

To tears fell faster now and without knowing what to do Richie smashed their faces together again. He felt shivers go down his spine as he made the kiss more loving. He stopped for a second to see Eddie's expression. Eddie was looking at him with the most surprised face ever.

"Do you, like me back?" Eddie said, whispering it so quietly that if Richie was just a few more feet away, he wouldn't hear him.

"Of course I do Eds. Why do you think I brought you here? I care about you so much and I, I think I have a really bad crush on you."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I think I'm in love with you."

Eddie took a moment to process this in his mind. The guy Eddie has liked forever revealed his feelings for him. He was astonished.

"I think I do too."

They kissed again and cuddled under the blankets for a while, waiting for it to start. Richie played with Eddie's hair and Eddie stared at Richie for a while. Richie had his face fixed up at the sky. When Richie gasped, Eddie looked up and saw the most beautiful thing he's ever seen in his life. There were a bunch of shooting stars lighting up the sky above. They glittered and twinkled. At that moment they both felt euphoria fill them up. It was like they were the only 2 people in the world and everything disappeared around them. Eddie never wanted it to stop.

When Richie dropped Eddie off at home, he kissed him goodbye and said that he felt like the luckiest guy in the world. Eddie watched him leave and entered the house once he couldn't see him anymore. He slowly shut it, and raced upstairs quietly. He didn't want to risk his mom being awake and finding him going to his room. He raced to his room and shut the door. He closed his window and threw the blankets in his closet. He got on pajamas again and threw himself underneath the covers. He went to sleep, dreaming about the love of his life, Richie.

Aww! How cute! Okay so this is half assed at the ending AGAIN because I kinda lost interest so sorry if this sucks.
