Feelings

After 11 months that Neil has been working with the police. He writes an exam for promotion to the post of ACP (I don't know how long it takes, sorry guys) and he passes it. Neil and Avni have become very close after all these months. Meanwhile Shweta thinks it has been too long since Juhi has died and Neil doesn't want to move on, so she fixes his marriage with someone and tries to convince Neil to get married.

In Khanna Mansion.

Shweta- Neil I need to talk to you.

Neil- OK what's the matter?

Shweta- it's about your Marriage.

Neil- mom Pls, I don't want to talk about it.

Shweta- I've talked to a really good family.

Neil- mom I'm not going to get married my decision is final, so just tell them no.

Shweta- but Tillu, I've already talked to them and we all agreed to it.

Neil- mom why did you do that without asking me.

Shweta- if I asked u, u wouldn't have agreed.

Neil sighed- fine mom do what ever you want. He leaves angrily.

In Neil's room

He sits on his bed

Neil thinks -"How can mom do this, she didn't even ask me. I don't even know the girl she picked for me, how can I marry her when my mind is thinking of someone else", he thinks of Avni..... Neil suddenly jumps up as he heard his ringtone which brought him out of his reverie.

"Hello DD"- Neil said. ( DD works in the police station with Neil).

DD - "Hello Sir ji"

"What's the matter DD" Neil said.

DD - "I've got some information on the robbery case of Ali's cafe" (Neil knows Ali for the past two years, While DD knew about him when they opened the case).

Neil- okay call Ali and tell him to come to my office tomorrow. I'll come to the office later, and we'll talk about it, Bye.

DD- bye sir.

Neil sits on his bed and thinks of calling Avni. He calls her.

Neil- hello, Avni

Avni- hi, I was about to call you but then u called.

Neil- what did you want to tell me?

Avni- First of all come to my house then we can talk there.

Neil- OK I'm coming, bye.

He cuts the call. He goes to Avni's house, he knocks.

Neela- Neil, you're here!

Neil- hi Aunty, I came to meet Avni.

Neela- Come in.

Neil- Aunty where's Avni, I can't see her anywhere? He said looking around.

Neela- she's in her room.

Neil stays there and looks on, cause he didn't want to go straight to Avni's room in front of Neela.

Neela- Well, what are you waiting for, didn't you come to meet her.

Neil- oh...., i was just going. He said amused at the fact that Neela trusted him so much.

He knocks on the door to Avni's room.

Avni- it's open. She yells from inside.

Neil enters.

Avni- Maa (mom) why are you kno..... She stopped as she raised her head from the book she was reading to look at the person standing at the door.

Avni- oh Neil it's you, i didn't know you were here already come in.

They sit on the couch in her room.

Neil- so what did you want to tell me?.

Avni- Um.. actually I have this friend, his name is Ali he's cafe got robbed two days ago I just got to know about it now, so I wanted to ask if you can investigate on the matter.

Neil- I'm already working on the case. ( he said surprised by the coincidence)

Avni- wow that's great, I'm feeling relieved now.

Neil- by the way how do u know Ali?.

Avni- "Actually Ali is my childhood friend, he is my best friend we had a lot of fun when we were kids..."

She keeps talking

"..... do you know that he named his cafe after the fish I found in a pond? and he built he's Cafe there after I left for USA with Neela maa when my grandmother killed my mum ( she becomes sad but Neil holds her shoulder and smiles urging her to continue) Anyway Ali is very nice, smart, sweet and he is cute sometimes........... Neil suddenly starts to feel jealous as Avni starts praising Ali a lot but he later get lost in her as she keeps blabbing about Ali then he thinks She looks so cute.

Avni- Neil what are you looking at? She said snapping her fingers in front of his face.

Neil- Nothing.....

Avni- anyway what did you want to tell me?

Neil- Well.... I'm getting married. He said looking at her face carefully to notice her reaction.

Avni- U..umm th....that's really good news. She said looking down avoiding Neil's gaze.

Neil- What's wrong Avni you look sad.

Avni- I..I'm not sad, excuse me I have to go downstairs to drink water. She said trying to escape Neil's questions.

He grabs her hand and pushes her to the wall before she could leave the room. He moves close to her, his breath fanning her face their lips really close...

Neil- aren't you happy that I'm getting married?.

She looks up and meets his gaze..

Avni- what do you mean...o..of course I'm happy.

Neil- are you sure? He said kissing her on her cheek

Avni- y..yes. she said closing her eyes.

He rubs his cheek against hers.

Neil- sure?

Avni- y..yeah.

He kisses her neck, she closes her eyes and holds her breath.

Neil- what about now?

Avni- she shakes her head in negation. He smiles against her skin.

Avni- I..I mean yes. She whispered.

He moves closer to her face, he tries to kiss her.... but tring! tring! His phone rings and he mentally curses the person calling him. He moves away from her and answers the call.... She releases her breath and looks at him.

Neil- hello DD..... Okay I'll be there.

Neil- Avni, I have to go now.

Avni- Bye. She said also angry at DD's timing.

Neil- bye. He leaves.

Avni falls on her bed hugging her pillow thinking about Neil's marriage she wonders who that girl is, she doesn't know why she's feeling really sad thinking about his marriage. But she smiles thinking about all the kisses Neil gave her and she keeps wondering why he did that!
